His Vagal Nerve Stimulator is being replaced because the battery
is running low. So we are working to get the newest one.

Which will also regulate his heart rate. It will hopefully help
alert to drops which sometimes tell if a seizure is happening.
its going to be very beneficial at night.

I'm a little confused with SSI right now. They seem to
be able to read minds and paycheck stubs two months in
the future. They have estimated Derrick's pay in August
as $895.00. And cut his August pay to zero because of this.

So I'm trying to figure out the best way to tell them I think
they made a mistake. I think they have screwed something
up. Because he wont be going back to work till sometime in
mid august and they already know that.

And I'm not obligated to report the income till September.

Yes, Kay it sure is. Luckily my son Dan is on just SSDI.
So his we only have to worry about them keeping thinking
he is eligible. I just helped him do his paperwork a month or
so ago.

Derrick gets both, so I have to worry about wether he loses his
SSI for August because of rent, but other than that it should be
okay. Because I'm hoping he can make enough in August to pay
his rent in September, Then in October we will be paying mainly
utilities until we figure out what we are doing when it comes to
his new house. As to whether its a payment for the house, or
its utilities for the house or what.

He will need his dad to work with him on time frame so we can do
the deposits because its been a while since he paid deposits.

But that should be fine.
Oh and with the VNS, he got the VNS in 2002 I believe, battery
change in 2010 and this one will be 2019.

Yes, he is fine and ready. He knows the evil side of the other.
Is more seizures.

Since if he doesn't have it the battery would just run down.
And he would then have more.

You are a blessing to your children. I commend you.

My daughter has a history of seizures. Had her first one age 2, status epileptics, a continuous seizure. Thank God we lived couple miles from ER, where my hubby and I both worked. I can relate to what kind of mother this takes to survive.

I pray the surgery goes smoothly and without complications. He sound like a great son.
