Okay off subject for this. But you guys might have a clue.

I have two dogs that like kitty food, better than dog food.
Any one have a clue what kind of dog food has to be small
food that I can buy for the dogs to eat.

I can't find the dogs anything they will difinitely eat that isn't
wet. And I can't afford wet all the time.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Red face

you are spoiling the dogs...they will eat the dry food when they are hungry. or try wettening the dry stuff. Maybe they will eat it that way?

I agree with Bizi. They will eventually eat what you put down when they realize that’s all that they’re getting...

But I would take a trip to PetSmart or PetCo and ask your question, then buy a small bag of food to try out. Senior formulas usually have smaller and softer kibbles.

Yes, I've tried doing those things I'll continue.

I just don't seem to find anything they can.

Well I do now why the oldest, our 21 year old chihuahua isn't
eating most of the time. He doesn't have very many teeth.
So he really does need the wet so I do make sure at least 2 or
3 times a week we get that. So I may have to start working
more with that. They wont eat gravy train, I've tried that.

But will continue to look.

Can you put your little Chihuahua on the counter and feed just him wet food every day? Even if its for cats? I would say that at 21 with few teeth, just getting him to eat something every day would be a good thing.

I bottomed out late in the morning, and had to take a nap, so no laundry. I slept for almost 5 hours. No problem falling asleep at 9:30 last night.

This afternoon I have the CAT scans (neck, chest, abdomen, and pelvis). I can't have anything to eat or drink after 9am. My last eGFR (measure of kidney function) was high enough so that I can drink the iodine contrast, and I start doing that at 11am. I have to call the doctor's office to make sure that I don't need to go early to have it checked again before the test to ensure sure they will give me the iodine injection, too. I think I will be okay tho. It's a CT vs. MRI, so it shouldn't take long even though they are imaging so many areas.

I wanted to wake up early so I could get some coffee in me, but the spasticity in my legs woke me up a lot earlier than I wanted to. I had a REALLY nasty spasm in an unusual place in my lower left leg. Don't know what's up with that yet, but I don't like it

The cats have somehow found a way to pick the new food kibbles out of the bowl even though I've been mixing them in with the old stuff... they're too much!
But they haven't been as smelly!!!
I need to call the vet today to arrange to have the medication ordered from the compound pharmacy. Rocky needs it, and just won't take it anymore for some reason.

It's a little past 9, and I'm still finishing my coffee... a couple of minutes won't make a difference

the best of luck with everything. Sorry about Rocky. They will find something that he likes. Abby goes bonkers after that fish treat I give her. Maybe he would like something fishy!

We used to feed animals separately and different food based on age and health related issues. We had toothless cats and dogs so wet food became necessary.

My sons senior very small dog with few teeth will eat very small dry kibble blue buffalo small breed but mostly daily wet, called Ceaser, one little pull top plastic tub. Thankfully our only pet, a dog, is only 1.5 years and we started her (and her brother who my daughter currently has) off with brushing. They are very active so we mix wet with dry twice daily, plus healthy snacks.

Good luck. Finding the right mix can be hit or miss.
