I have been on Lamictal since 2009 when I was first diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. I'm not introducing it. I had to restart it because I was in the hospital and off of it too long to start taking it at my regular dose of 200mg twice a day after discharge. My pdoc restarted it at 50mg and raised it rather aggressively, but I didn't get back up to my regular dose until the 5th of this month.

I actually had to go off of ALL of my psych meds while I was in the hospital for several days because I was too sick to swallow pills, and none of them could be given IV, which is why I had that episode of agitated mania.

I was having a hard time last week, and talked to my pdoc about increasing one of my other meds, but am feeling better, so maybe the final increase in the Lamictal has kicked in.

I'm on a lot of psych meds, but still have frequent episodes of hypomania, mania, and agitated mania. I have depressive episodes, but they're very rare.

I'm high functioning when I am stable.

I had much less spasticity and pain last night. I don't know if it was the 3rd strain of MJ, or if time is healing my wounds. Either way, I was much more comfortable and got more sleep last night

I fell asleep with my make-up on Saturday night, then forgot to take it off before I got into the shower yesterday. I got a little to rigorous with the washcloth trying to get the mascara off, and now my eyes are really irritated. I bought some eyedrops yesterday, but putting them in my right eye burns like HELL. I wonder if I scratched it? I think I may have to go to the eye doctor. I'm a mess

My plan for the day is to finally head to the mall (I HATE the mall) to return some things I bought online, and then head to BJ's to buy coffee. When I come home, I'll see what I can clean...
Unless I decide that the problem with my eye(s) can't wait, and I have to put those plans on hold for an appointment with the doctor today

I did get a little scratch on my right cornea, and I have what my eye doctor said was "allergic conjunctivitis" in both eyes, probably from sleeping with my eye makeup on and/or from the face wash I used to wash it off. He gave me eyedrops with an antibiotic and steroid in them, and said that the little scratch should heal on its own pretty quickly. I have to go back and see him next Monday.

My brother (who has been recently dx with BP) texted me yesterday to tell me that he hit something driving drunk and ripped off the side view mirror of his brand new car this weekend. He knows he's lucky to be alive, and plans on stopping drinking again. After months of severe mania, his pdoc is FINALLY taking him off ZOLOFT. He's going to crash hard, and I'm very concerned about him, and will stay in close contact with him.
I'm not happy with the care he's getting, but I'm treading lightly because this is the first time he's reached out for help, and he likes and trusts his pdoc. I hope he will be okay...

My anxiety is sky high again today, probably because of what's going on with my brother. I planned on going to the mall today, but I can't drive that far today, at least not right now, but that is okay because there is plenty to do around here to keep me busy.

If I feel better later, which I may after getting some s- done, I will go to the grocery store. I stopped at the butcher shop yesterday, but need other things to pull dinner(s) together. If I can't drive there, we will have to order out

I think eyes heal really rapidly. So sorry it happened. You poor thing. I am so very sorry about your brother. It must be so painful.

I have a very good eye doctor. Have had him for years. He's adorable, too

After only ONE day off of Zoloft, my poor little brother has already started to crash. He is shaky and very overwhelmed. His pdoc is on vacation, the the one who is covering for her said that if he started having symptoms of withdrawal to call him and he would give him a script for Clonidine for anxiety. My brother asked for it yesterday IN PERSON, but was denied because he was so overwhelmed he couldn't explain his symptoms clearly. A good pdoc would have caught onto that. I hope he will call this morning and can get the script. He is miserable, and this situation could be more dangerous than mania... I'm VERY worried
He knows he is not getting the care he needs, and is going to look into a change, but he is not in any condition to make a switch right now.

I had cut my a.m. dose of Klonopin down to 1/2mg, but I ended up at 1 1/2mg yesterday morning, and I can't say that it was totally effective. The situation with my brother is not the only thing triggering me.
I've been having weird dreams for the last couple of nights. I think that they're from anxiety. Usually I don't remember any of my dreams, so it's strange.

I got quite a bit done yesterday, but none of it was the cleaning I had hoped to do. I did not go grocery shopping, but I felt well enough in the afternoon to drive up the street to CVS to pick up two prescriptions... and ice cream

I have to get to the mall today to return those bras, and to go get a big old box of coffee. Then I have to go to the supermarket. That's a full day.
I have been in the BR a lot, but it's still early. The mall doesn't open until 10am.
