Constipation is infrequent, hard to pass, or hard stool.
When I wrote my last post, I was having bits of D that were hard to pass.

Bizi, to answer your question about if I can feel if I'm constipated, I can- easily. The large intestines kinda hold everything in. When they're removed, the small intestines hang rather loosely, and I don't have much abdominal fat, so I can feel where everything is by gently pressing on my abdomen. I could feel a mass like a mini football in my lower left quadrant. It has happened on and off in that place since I had the surgery.

Monday was terrible. I had tons of diarrhea early in the morning, which is fine. Let's get rid of everything... But then I had 9 HOURS of just terrible unrelenting S*** pains and a strong urgency to use the BR without any results. I have no idea how many times I sat on the toilet. Then I went through a couple of hours of that again yesterday.

That mass in my abdomen is gone, which is a very good thing
But I'm not taking the Mirilax for a few days in case it could be contributing to the symptoms I've been having. I have to go out to get grocery shopping done today, and have morning appointments tomorrow and Friday. I hope that I'm making the right decision. I will obviously be keeping a close eye on things.

I've been having pain on my mid-to-lower right side by where the obstruction was since I woke up this morning. So, now I'm going to have to worry about THAT. And I was still having the other issues this morning so I'll be going out to do the shopping late today.

My friend sent me an email, which I replied to. In her reply, she let me know that she had sent 3 emails before that I had never responded to. I NEVER GOT THEM, though I would have been VERY happy to have had, and don't know why. The only reason I can think of is that I may have put an email from that chain in the spam folder instead of the trash by accident, but IDK. Since it was 3 emails, she doesn't believe me. I sent her an email to kinda defend myself and say I was sorry that I never received them and that had worried her. I feel really miserable about the whole situation, but that's about all the energy I can manage to put into the matter. I hope that my word is good enough.

I'm just very overwhelmed....

I do not feel well at all, and it worries me A LOT. And I've been stuck at home because I've been glued to the toilet.
I have a colposcopy tomorrow morning because of the abnormal Pap smear.
And I have an appointment with the hematologist/oncologist on Friday because of the funky results from the biopsy of my lymph node.
All those things I need to do, but have not been able to, are just piling up, making me feel pressured to get them done.

I'm still not 100% on the mental health front, and none of this s*** is helping. I'm doing my best and hanging in there tho.

Thank you, Rain shower

I'm sorry that I couldn't finish reading and posting on the forum today. I got a call from my case manager from the insurance company, then had to rush to get ready for my appointment with the NP.

Today has been a s*** show. I'm waiting until it stops pouring out to do the grocery shopping... which will give me time to finish writing my list

I will try to catch up tomorrow, but I have 2 appointments. One with my neurologist, and one to get my Tysabri infusion if he says it's okay because my eosinophil count is so high.

I guess my brother did not get to talk to my father's wife. He did not mention trying to speak to her again. I'm not going to force the issue with him at all right now, as he has enough going on already. I will call my dad today to see how he is doing.

The NP wanted me to have pulmonary function tests, but I told her that I have way too much going on right now. So, she said we could shelve that idea- for now. She prescribed Flovent, but my insurance doesn't cover it, so I had to deal with that BS. I'll be on Qvar now... a 60 day supply costs $240. I'm obviously not happy about that. I checked discount programs, and there's no real savings out there. All inhalers are really expensive now, so it could be worse. I haven't picked it up yet.

I hit the f'ing roof when this month's final Verizon bill arrived in my inbox yesterday because it was for $566, and I had already called about it twice (you get to view your estimated next bill beforehand). I called AGAIN yesterday to get it corrected, and 45 minutes later, it finally was. The bill is now $110.60 (that won't be our regular monthly bill tho).

Then I had to deal with the cable company!!! LOL
But I just had the automated system send a hit to the boxes, and chose the option to have a representative call me back afterwards to check if the error messages were gone. He said that they were, and that the cable should stop cutting in and out. So far so good.

By the time I was ready to go out to do the grocery shopping, Corey had come home, and he told me I looked and sounded too tired to be driving. I couldn't argue with that. We didn't need anything but ice cream, so for the first time in a LONG time, I went without.

I have to see my neurologist this morning, then at 1pm I have my Tysabri infusion, which takes at least 2 hours. I won't get out of the hospital until at least 3pm, which is sleeping time. There's NO WAY I'll be able to get grocery shopping done today either. I'll have to pick up a couple of things at CVS when I go get my prescription... a big waste of money.

I will have to do the grocery shopping tomorrow

I don't think I have any appointments until next Friday when I see the surgeon. That should give me some time to get my s- together...

Good job getting so much done. I don't always do this but since you know your iron is so low, take a break until about one week post iron infusion before you push too hard.
The iron will most likely give you some level of increased energy over the next week or so. It is so hard to tell. The adverse effects are relatively rare. I wish you had a driver for this first infusion. They will probably make you stay there to make sure nothing occurs. You know all this of course.

The green peppers in the grilled veg wraps kill my gut. Onions also. Red sweet, not so much.
That sounds really good. Sorry it did not agree with you. We revisited a local family restaurant in our small town and we're so happy to find really good food. They do carry out which is good for me.

I love you too, Donna

Well, I survived yesterday.

I have some MS symptoms that are progressing, and some that are new-ish. With everything that's been going on unrelated to my MS, my neuro floated the idea of changing my medication, but I've been on and off Tysabri since 2012, and haven't had any major relapses, so he decided we should stick with it- at least for now.
I'm overdue for an MRI of my brain, but he took mercy on me, and decided he could wait a little while before he orders one. I see him in 2 months.

I was 7 minutes away from the hospital when I got out of my neuro's office, but would have been about 45 minutes early for my appointment. So, I basically drove in a big circle to get an iced coffee and a donut, and to kill some time.

I still arrived early for my appointment to get the Tysabri infusion. When I got there, the nurse told me she couldn't give me BOTH medications (yesterday) because they were ordered by different doctors. I had no idea what she was talking about... apparently the hematologist/oncologist's office sent over an order for me to get IV iron without anyone telling me in advance.
I finished the Tysabri infusion before 3pm because they took me in early, but I have to go back on Monday to have the iron infusion. I'm not happy about it because it's yet another medical-related obligation, and I was looking forward to getting a break from all that s*** for a while (a few days at least).

I had to stop at CVS to pick up my new inhaler, coffee, and ice cream on my way home. I was so tired, I should not have been driving. I probably should not have been driving earlier in the day either. I was glad to get home, even though I was in a terrible mood. I took a 3 1/2 hour nap, and woke up less irritable.

We ordered out. I was really craving a salad or a cold vegetarian sub, but I knew that would be a bad idea, so I settled on a grilled vegetarian wrap. Cooked vegetables are usually safe, but apparently not in this case. I'm still paying for it.

If some of my posts from yesterday are off, it's just because I was so tired.

I WILL get the grocery shopping done today come hell or high water.
