I take about six caplets of phillips. Maybe you should change laxatives or get a prescription laxative. Are you drinking enough water? Are you eating too much meat?
First, alcohol is a diuretic (draws water out of you), so it could make your stool harder & aggravate the area.

hi bobby,
I only take 3 mag oxide about 1250mg every day...some days it is harder and painful to pass, some times diarrhea. Most days it is some where in between. I never want to get impacted again! So will continue on this program, am happy with it. Before, I was only taking 1000mg but now 1250mg. So it increased a bit to stay regular BM every 1-2 days. I do drink a lot of water and coffee.
((((HUGS))))

Bobby

I honestly think that the apartment being so hot is what is effecting
your stomach right now. I really wish we could help you solve that
part of the problem. I am hoping that you will start to feel better
after they get the thing fixed.

I'm so sorry its broke.

My GP had me take one TableSpoon of Apple Cider Vinegar with one glass of water in the morning.

Then thoroughly rinse the mouth with water due to acid on the teeth.

The apple cider vinegar has been helping me with those kids of issues.
I don't take it everyday but maybe once or twice a week now.

Otherwise magnesium citrate.

thanks so much. I will start trying it in a couple of days. Did he give you the okay on magnesium citrate? Linesse has worked for me twice. I am going to take it this morning even though I am going to drink that preparation for the colonoscopy, I feel like a dangerous jerk. I should have postponed it til after I got the air conditioning I feel so physically awful when I wake up each morning.
I feel slightly nauseated and gassy, besides severely depressed.

Constipation is infrequent bowel movements, small hard and/or hard to to pass stool. It can be caused by using excessive amounts of laxatives, like the 6 Phillips caps you have been taking. They usually say having a bowel movement anywhere from three times a day to three times a week is considered normal.

There is nothing wrong with taking the Linzess today, Bobby. I would not take it tomorrow morning, if that is the day of the colonoscopy, tho.

I hope that the prep goes well for you. Stay well hydrated, water or Gatorade are best

I REALLY hope that you are less depressed and anxious once this ordeal is over, and that they find nothing wrong (((HUGS)))

Sorry, I misunderstood... I just read that your previous post where you said you were "severely depressed" was before 6am.

I'm glad that your antidepressant is working once you take it
I wish it worked 24/7 tho.

It is all right. I have suffered from depression for most of my life. Aplenzin is a miracle. I have been on it for a few months. It has lifted an incredible burden off my shoulders. I can easily take waking up depressed knowing that soon with the pill it will be gone! I think my anxiety has also been affected. Without the depression my anxiety has decreased. Another miracle. Linesse worked this morning although I did take phillips last night. I found out that one of the allergy pills I have is okay with high blood pressure. After I read that and realized I had it, after a while my eyes, mouth, arms and nose and face stopped itching. I think I am a bit allergic to my beloved kitty cats
