can't wait to see the g.i. doctor on Wednesday. My stomach has been bothering me so much. I just bought more teas in hopes they will help. Terrified of the ac bill. Yesterday I got so mad at Marci for opening the bathroom window even though she wasn't cleaning it and all the hot air was coming in I slammed the door shut. Then it wouldn't open. I totally freaked out and thought they would have to drill the knob out. Marci doesn't understand about all my mental problems and showed no understanding why I was so upset. The porter came up but couldn't get it to open. Then thank God the handyman Bobby hadn't left yet and fiddled and fiddled as I was jumping out of my skin and then he got it to open. I had another conversation with Marci about all my mental problems and told her that the shoes I had given her Cole Haan fit me but I wanted to give to her. The top I just gave her yesterday which said it retailed for 71 dollars and I paid about 20 or 25 dollars I said I bought expressly for her. I have given her a lot of great clothes. She quietly said thank you a few times. She really never has shown appreciation or thanked me before.

I hope everything turns out okay with Suri's blood test. Sometimes when you listen and try to support someone you love, it can be draining, and when you are waiting with them for something like those test results, you can share their anxiety. You are such a good friend to her (((HUGS)))

I'm glad that everything worked out with the window

It's really hard for some people to understand mental health problems if they have never been exposed to them before.
Marci may never have thanked you for things you have given to her in the past because so much generosity can embarrass some people, as odd as that may sound

I hope that the GI doc can get to the bottom of what's causing all your stomach problems and can help you (((HUGS)))

I love Suri. I don't think that was the reason why Marci hadn't thanked me before.

That's sad then, Bobby. You've been so good to Mari in so many ways for a long time

Bobby

I am not sure that before yesterday Marci even realized you would
like or needed a thank you. Only because you were giving her
things a lot and it seemed to be all the time. Some times people
just don't get it. And honestly some people don't have the word
thank you in their vocabulary for things like when given something.

it was engraven in me as a child by my mom and dad to thank
others for the things they gave me. Even when someone as a child
held a door for me I was to say thank you.

I remember many years ago now, my step grandkids, Jazmin and Deana
were with their grandmother Shirley, and were in our IGA store, the
had said, Hello Grandma Donna, And were checking out at the register.

They said, to the girl running the register, thank you, and please when
she asked them something. And they left the store after being rang
up and paying. The girl or lady said to me. Are you the girls grandma,
I said, yes, she said those are the politest young girls Ive ever seen.

They always say thank you, please and may I. When they are hear.
I said, thats because they are probably with their Grandma Shirley,
she is outside in her car waiting on them. She has taught all her grandkids
to treat people this way. And I know they always do just those things
even to me.

She said, well I wish others would at least tell their kids, its nice to say
thank you at least. I said, yes, your right.

Donna

my antidepressant hasn't kicked in yet. I pray it is temporary. My doctor tried them all and none worked. My apartment is comfortable so I know it is not heat related. I am so depressed.

I'm sorry to hear that you feel this depressed. How long have you been on your new medication? Will your see your prescribing doctor soon?

I have been on it for almost four months. I see my doctor in a couple of months. I think it also raised my blood pressure to dangerous levels and my g.p put me on more bp medicine and then had to raise it. My blood pressure is still high. I am afraid to ask for a higher dose of the antidepressant because of my blood pressure.

Can you call your prescribing doc who put you on this medication that is raising your bp? Just to let him/her know and that it's not helping you with your depression? You could do this before you meet with him, just a quick phone call.

How high is your bp now, do you have a bp cuff at home to test it?

this is the first day it hasn't kicked in. I would have to see him and that would cost 125 plus 20 dollars cab fare. He didn't warn me about the side effects of bp. When I woke. it was 165. I use the arm one and it coincided with my g.p.'s monitor. Later it was 155. Before the extra bp medicine it went up at times to over 180.
I had a stroke three years ago and it affected my right side, short term memory ,spelling and math skills
