i just bought dandelion tea. I finally got the scale to work and I gained a few pounds. I read that blood pressure pills retain water and dandelion tea is a natural diuretic

I am depressed. I am so scared that the medication is beginning to stop working. I didn't hear from the company if a higher dose would raise my blood pressure, I will call them and see what they will say. Then I will call the psychiatrist for a higher dose. He might just charge me 50 dollars for a new prescription or I will just have to go in. It was so wonderful not to be depressed.

I am going to cuddle with Pudge

It went away.Maybe I am just sad. I wonder if it is situational. I am playing Josh Groban and I cuddled with Pudge. Cecilia came over for a little while to use my bike.I think she is going to do that every other day I am still so upset that when my ac wasn't working for a week and a half and it was so hot she had me over for just a half an hour during that time span.
My stomach hurts. I just bought so many types of tea. I think I will read. I can't fall asleep.

I'm with you about insomnia. I'm up at 3:00AM and decided to paybills, etc, lol. Glad to hear your depression lifted. With a mood disorder, as my former psych doc shared with me that when the mood shifts, one can actually take more of the mood stabilizer until you regain a sense of "normalcy". But please run this by your psych doc first.

I understand about feeling depressed and knowing you are depressed too. It's an awful feeling. Cuddling with your furbaby will definitely help.

I bought this tea that contains Marshmellow, Slippery Elm Bark and Licorice. Slippery Elm Bark is supposed to help soothe the stomach. It was recommended to give to my cat. Ginger tea also helps with settling the stomach along with flat GingerAle. But check with your psych doc about these herbs before starting any. What types of tea did you buy?
I know this may sound odd, Bobby, but I learned a trick to reduce water weight, but you must first run this by your primary.

I know this may sound odd, Bobby, but I learned a trick to reduce water weight, but you must first run this by your primary. I drink 1/2 my body weight in fluid ounces daily. What this does is trick the kidney to release excessive water in your body. My Neuro-Otologist introduced this to me to help manage Menieres Syndrome (Abnormal Endolymphatic Hydrops). Drinking this much water helps prevent the buildup of sodium in my inner ear due to an in-balance in inner ear fluid. I am on a salt restrictive diet too. I do use a salt substitute inlieu of regular salt, but be careful of this type of product as it can contain alot of potassium.

Why does your psych doc charge to write a prescription?

What book are you reading now?

Also, some meds cause nausea too.

Hugs,

Blue

Bobby ~ Be sure to check with your primary and psych doc about taking any teas that have herbs in them as they can interact with the drugs you are taking. Herbs are not FDA tested and some are not standardized.

I look for interactions on the internet. I won't see my primary doctor in three months. I drink a lot of ginger tea, hibiscus tea and chamomille tea for my stomach. I see my g.i. doctor on wednesday and he will probably schedule an endoscopy since I usually wake up in the morning with a stomach ache. I will make coffee when I get off the computer and that usually makes it go away. I just bought fennel tea, dandelion tea, bilberry tea ,sage tea and one other I forgot. Bilberry and sage tea supposedly helps diabetes and if I am not confused fennel helps the stomach. I forgot what I bought to help high blood pressure and cholesterol.. After ten years of worry I just had a colonoscopy and that came out fine. I guess I have more faith in the teas that have been used for centuries then I have in modern medicine. I drink a lot of water and I guess I will drink with the teas the amount you suggested.
I only take klonopin and aplenzin from my psychiatrist. He charges me 50 dollars to write a prescription and nothing when I see him. I am not on a mood stabilizer and I also can't afford anymore weight gain. I am reading a book by Patricia Oliver. I love historical regency romances with happy endings. I am not watching as much of MSNBC as I used too.It is too upsetting. I forgot what I had ead about slippery elm and did give it to one of my kitty cats but am afraid to give it to me.

Slippery elm contains a type of soft fiber called mucilage. Mucilage can decrease how much medicine the body absorbs. Taking slippery elm at the same time you take medications by mouth can decrease the effectiveness of your medication. To prevent this interaction take slippery elm at least one hour after medications you take by mouth.

I also have to take laxatives to go and I take probiotics which my g.p. suggested for my stomach discomfort.OTC things for stomach haven't worked. I really waited for the stomach issues until I finally had a colonoscopy. My psychiatrist took me off of the mood stabilizer that doesn't cause weight gain because he felt it didn't do any good. Topamax

mymorgy 07-19-2019 06:47 AM

I am also always tired and just started taking coq10 with pqq

BlueMoon1950 07-19-2019 08:44 AM

Bobby ~ At least you are trying everything with your stomach issues. Excellent news about the colonoscopy !!

From time to time I have to take a laxative and Nexium first thing in the am if I am having stomach pains and both seem to handle everything. I create excessive gas and stomach acid, so take Nexium when needed and 300 mg of Ranitidine at night. I also have colitis and have to be careful what I eat.

I was on the sister drug called Zonegram for migraine and mood. It caused kidney stones, hence why I can't take Topomax. Are you on a mood stabilizer at all?

I am only on klonopin and aplenzin. I was on risperdal for years and then my doctor cut it out.He cut out topamax. I spoke with Aplenzin this morning and they never did a study to see if a higher dosage raises blood pressure more. I am waiting for a call back from my psychiatrist's secretary to see if I need to make an appointment for him to raise the aplenzin or if he will just charge me 49 dollars for writing it. I have taken antacids but they don't work. Warm coffee with half and half helps. weeird. I don't feel like eating in the morning.
