Yes,

Sleep doc said I probably have these: Hypnagogic Hallucinations

mymorgy 07-10-2019 09:55 PM

a combination of things made me stop the depakote after three weeks and the dreams continued. I was so exhausted.I slept most of the time. My stomach hurt so much. I gained about six or seven pounds in three weeks

Mari 07-10-2019 10:33 PM

Wow, how awful.

I don't remember if I ever took that one.

1)I lost track of when to take my meds because my sleep and wake times are completely upside down!
Even with the pill minder, Hubby and I could not make sense of whether or not I took them.

I waited a little longer, started getting weird feelings in my head, and
took the pills.

2) We have ants in the house!
A few minutes ago, I remembered that when hubby canceled my credit
card to fix a problem, he caused another problem.
I have to call Terminex to get back on their monthly plan.

This is why I wish he would leave my sht alone. It does not fcking matter
to me that I was being charged for the gym even after I had paid my subscription.

There are always unintended consequences.

ants don't like vinegar. I put vinegar in a spray bottle and it helps

I'm sorry about the mess with your meds, Mari
I won't pretend to have a good solution for you because I feel like I'm the queen of med mistakes.

I feel weird if I don't take my meds, too. If I don't take my night meds now, I feel really messed up, but by the time I feel that way, it's way too late to take them.

I had problems remembering who I had to contact about automatic payments and logins for some websites after I had to get a new debit card, too. It was a PITA.

I'm sorry your husband messed with your s-:hug::hug:
I hope he won't be doing anything like that again in the future.

I hope you can get Terminex over to your house soon, and in the meantime, Bobby's tip about the vinegar helps.

Mari 07-12-2019 10:22 AM

Thank you, Kay. After I killed a eight ants, I did not see anymore.
Hubby said we still have the Terminex contract.

This morning we are organizing the kitchen and pantry and hall closet . . .
throwing out old things and tossing out some expired food
products and vitamins . . relocating pans
and such so that they are out of the way
of other things that we use often.

I always want to do this in May so that the house is organized in the event
of a hurricane/ tropical storm. (Hard to move around in the dark if we have to
navigate around chaotic stuff.)

M

Mari 07-12-2019 10:29 AM

Is anyone using products with the 0.3% CBD that was made legal w/ the
farm bill of 2018?

My health food store sells it in these products: water, capsules, tea, . . .

I brought some home but am waiting for a good time to try something new.

(I am risk averse . . . thus why I often don't take meds that doctors
give me.)

M

mymorgy 07-12-2019 01:56 PM

I am not sure not I just might have had some. My friend said it would make me less irritable and relax me. I think I feel more relaxed now.
Bobby

Mari 07-12-2019 09:14 PM

Thanks, Bobby.

That's a nice outcome.

Cleaning the house

Today hubby and I cleaned the kitchen, did some work in the living room,
and re-organized the hall closet/pantry.

1)We cleaned the kitchen cupboards & we threw away stuff and spices and such that were old.

2) We moved stuff out of the kitchen to the pantry in the hallway so we could
free up space in the kitchen and by doing so updated our hurricane plan somewhat.

3) I designed and he cooked a tofu and vegetable soup that he liked using things already in the house like vegetable broth, . . . .

4) We pulled off zippered pillow covers from the couches to put into the washing machine and then put them back at the end of the day.

5 I mended a beloved comforter that had been coming apart for a while.

6) I also washed sweaters and stuff from last winter.

You have been very productive

OhKay 07-13-2019 07:10 AM

Yes, it sounds like you have been very busy!

I have tried CBD capsules and and an alcohol-based tincture in much higher doses/concentrations from my dispensary. While they didn't work for my purposes, they were relaxing and I didn't have any side effects.
You can start out with half a dose, like 1/2 of a cup of the tea, etc if you want to.

BlueMoon1950 07-14-2019 01:59 PM

The compounding pharmacy where I get my cat's medications just starting selling CBD oil and I'm tempted, although it's very expensive and my insurance won't cover it. My psych doc said he would not prescribe this for me only because of the potential of weight gain. I tried smoking MJ back in the 60's and became very paranoid. Not sure if I would have the same reaction to the CBD oil.

Re posts about strokes:

Does taking meds increase the risk of stroke?

So depressing.

It's time for an actual cure.

:(

mymorgy 07-15-2019 10:25 AM

that is an awful thought. I stopped taking some otc supplements because they increase blood pressure

Yeah.
I'm not in a good mood today.
I wish I had not posted that.

What The Science Says About The Best Foods to Prevent Stroke
  • Nuts. In one study, adding an ounce of nuts per day seemed to cut the risk of stroke in half. ...
  • Greens. ...
  • Chocolate. ...
  • Citrus fruits. ...
  • Whole grains. ...
  • Garlic. ...
  • Tomatoes. ...
  • Coffee and green tea.

Mari 07-15-2019 05:29 PM

That's not helpful!

The several medical specialists I dealt with in the hospital and after the hospital said nothing about food.

There is some tiny evidence that antiepileptic drugs, antidepressants
(especially trazodone and SSRIs), & benzodiazepines, have a relationship to strokes.

That's what my earlier post was about.

M

mymorgy 07-15-2019 05:40 PM

that is very interesting! I wasn't told anything. I was just put on a blood thinner for life

mymorgy 07-15-2019 05:59 PM

Treatment with APLENZIN can result in elevated blood pressure and hypertension. Assess blood pressure before initiating treatment with APLENZIN, and monitor periodically during treatment. The risk of hypertension is increased if APLENZIN is used concomitantly with MAOIs or other drugs that increase dopaminergic or noradrenergic activity [see CONTRAINDICATIONS].

This might explain why my blood pressure went so high. With extra medication my blood pressure is okay. This is the only drug that works for my depression.

OhKay 07-16-2019 07:49 AM

Some medications can increase the likelihood of strokes. That s/e is usually at the top of the list or in a black box warning if the incidence is high.

I like to look up med side effects on drugs.com, and also read that section of s/e for medical professionals, where they also list the incidence of ie/ cardiovascular events, etc in percentages. It usually does not change my decision whether or not to take a medication because many of those side effects are so rare, and can just happen to people randomly in drug trials.

How is your mood today, Mari?

Rain shower 07-19-2019 05:27 PM

Hi Mari. I have taken CBD in the past at higher doses and found it relaxing but did very little for my pain. Take it when you have nothing planned. The effects are very subtle. MMJ provides me more benefit for the cost.

It does feel good to clean the kitchen. Nice that you and hubby worked together.

Mari

Hope its cooler there than here.

Hi, For two days in a row now I used the rosacea cream that the
dermatologist gave me months ago.

I did not use it because I did not feel that it was compatible with using the CPAP mask at night.

=-=-=-=-=-

So I tried it in the day time. It mostly did not bother my skin ( some weird
feelings a little bit but it did not hurt.)

I am hopeful that, after three days of using the cream, I will see progress.

HI mari, I use the metro gel/cream in a red and white tube for my rosacea.
I had another bout of it months ago. The derm gave me 2 different types of cream to use and took pills and doxycycline low dose. mine is the acne kind with bumps too. awful.
Over time What I have left is red/scars from the pimples/bumps. They are lightening up over time thank goodness. I still use a camouflage make up because I am vane and don 't like the redness.
I hope yours helps you too.

Hubby is driving me to the 9:00 a.m. dr's appointment this morning.

The last time I saw this doctor years ago, I had what felt like a panic attack after being in the waiting room for what felt like FOREVER.

I stood up and politely as possible said that I was leaving.
Staff said that the MD wanted me to stay.

I said that I would stay as long as SOMEONE else filled out the zillion pages of paperwork.

The office manager eventually did it for me.
:ROTFLMAO:

mymorgy 07-29-2019 05:41 AM

may I ask which doctor this is and were you having symptoms and that is why you had to see them this morning?
How did it go?

Mari 07-30-2019 04:05 AM

I went to my gyn for a check up.

I absolutely love her but that huge parking garage that she and the
dermatologist both share is upsetting.
And the office paperwork is completely nuts.

While doing the paperwork, I almost lost my sht AGAIN!

Hubby was in charge of driving and parking and he helped me
not throw a fit about the the office's near impossible paperwork.

=-=-=-=-=-=-
This doc is the most wonderful mdoc I've ever met.

And she's Eastern-European and sweet.

M

OhKay 07-30-2019 06:14 AM

I'm glad that you like your GYN so much. I'm sorry that getting in to see her is such a hassle tho :hug::hug:

I see so many f'ing doctors... I hate all the paperwork! And some of it is just f'ing ridiculous! Sometimes I get overwhelmed. I recently went for a CAT Scan and the technician had to fill the paperwork out for me.

Dmom3005 07-30-2019 01:41 PM

I used to fill out so many of the same pages that I came close to
asking that they ran copies so I could then take them to the
other offices so I didn't have to fill them out again.

But anyway its life I guess.

Donna :hug::grouphug:

Mari 07-30-2019 08:32 PM

Kay,

I hope that you are o.k.

If all the technicians had to fill out the forms for us, each office would
eventually come up with a paper-work system that is easier on them as
well as their patients.

M

Mari 07-30-2019 08:42 PM

The papers consisted of at least eight pages in tiny font and
lots of repetition.

The spaces for my responses were tiny -- I did not work real hard
to make my handwriting legible.

One line requested the mailing address of my internist. F that!

I turned to Hubby for help with questions like the date.
The date came up three times.

After a while, I skipped the repetitious B.S.

M

bizi 07-30-2019 10:53 PM

They don't read it!
I know they don't!
I hate it when they repeat things....hate it!
