Please do some knitting. And maybe some books by tape. And some music. That is really a small dosage is correct. I have read to keep up. I haven't been on all day. So I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. Donna :grouphug: |

So, I just went to my sick neighbors apartment and M was there. They were getting ready to travel to the airport to pick up one of the trio that had been missing last week. The sick tenants' best friend will come home and spend time with my sick neighbor **
** My sick neighbor made forward planning to get all of us together for a tea and to talk about what happened. She wants us all to get along and she wants me to be a part of their circle of friends. Of course I am not going to let myself get close to them again, I'm just playing along to keep a close eye on my sick neighbor, but M is always there........................ Blue |

Thank you for your kind and supportive thoughts (( Hugs )) Blue |
Okay, so, I called my favorite prevention hotline and fortunately I got a supervisor who took copious notes. Where he said he would not take any action on my part, he did encourage me to call my counties Adult Protective Services tomorrow and see if they can link the welfare check by the police last night and do another welfare check on her tomorrow. He also suggested I keep in constant contact with her via text over the next 24 hours.
He felt that M's actions to lock the sick neighbor in and prevent me from visiting her and making up excuses why I was not visiting, is "creepy". He urged me to take this another step further and call Adult Protective Services tomorrow. M reminds me of Nurse Diesel on High Anxiety with Mel Brooks, she has the same slashed lips look when she is not happy with something. Now, that's one of my favorite movies, or anything Mel Brooks, but M does behave alot like Nurse Diesel (very stoic, displaying no emotion, etc). That is the look I got from her today, and when she prevented me from visiting the sick neighbor, when I just ran into her at the sick tenants apartment. I did run a check on M thru the court systems for my county and nothing came up on her. Okay, now I have a plan for tomorrow. I hope I can carry it off without making myself an easy target. Blue |
Hi, Blue Moon,
That's good that you called the prevention hotline and talked to the supervisor. And I'm happy to hear that he gave you the suggestion to call Adult Protective Services tomorrow as well as telephone for a welfare check. Wow. That is so much going on. Do keep taking care of yourself.:) M |
Blue Moon,
I remember that movie! And I found Nurse Diesel on youtube! Cloris Leachman did a fantastic job. I'm really sorry for what is happening with the neighbor. M |
I am on hold with Adult Protective Services.
I just spoke with her best friend who is traveling home from the airport and asked to meet with her immediately when she arrives home. Her granddaughter is an addict and has attempted ** many times, so she's an old hand with this. I just remembered the sick neighbor telling me she was going to ask her doctor to put her in the hospital tomorrow for a rest and a complete physical, she felt something was wrong with her. I totally forgot about that. That flew out of my mind ** Hopefully tonight, she will be in a secure facility getting the treatment she needs. Fingers crossed and wish me luck. I don't care if this woman hates me until the hell freezes over, I am not going to let the sun go down tonight without help for her. Blue |
Blue, you are a good neighbor to her...and friend.

Okay, so spoke with sick neighbor's best friend. Unfortunately she insisted M get involved. They went to see the sick neighbor and asked me to sit outside in the lobby area.
Next thing, M comes out and explains to me not to worry, they are taking her to her primary tomorrow morning, that she's eating a meal and seems very happy and stable *rolling my eyes now* ** Okay, so at least the sick tenants best friend is aware and now there are three people aware. I urged them to take her to emergency tonight and M said no, tomorrow only to her primary for a physical assessment. I asked what about a mental assessment and she said, no need. I asked what about the psychiatrist and M said no, not the psychiatrist. I asked M to sit up with her all night long and said no need, she's fine. I sat there shocked, but not surprised by M's surly attitude. I closed my newspaper I was left reading and went back home. I can't fight city hall. Blue |
