I just had the therapy session. He called late and of course created more anxiety for me. I immediately told him and then he said it happens in the profession and then I said I was a psychologist and always on time. Then I told him the joke he sent me got me angry and sad and I didnt think the colonoscopy was funny, especially since I have irritable bowel syndrome and chronic constipation.
Then I asked him how he developed an interest in Judaism and he told me through hhis future wife when he was around 27. It was very interesting. He said that he usually doesn't talk about himself because he isn't interesting. I said that I found him interesting. He is sending me a link to a Israeli movie from 2004 and said it was both funny and poignant. I told in the past I used to burn myself because my psychic pain was too intense. He also told me to start having dialogues wiith God.

Hi, Bobby! Your conversation with your therapist sounds really interesting. And you were able to express how you felt about his joke re: the colonoscopy. Do you feel better about him now?, or the same? Anyway, hearing/reading your account of your session made me think more about trying to find a therapist of my own. It's been about 3 years since I've seen anyone about my mental problems. She was a psychiatrist & prescribed an antipsychotic drug that was dangerous, in my opinion, based on the information that came with the pills. I only saw her one time after that, & I only took one of those pills & ended up disposing of the rest. Most of the time I feel I'm better off letting my instincts guide me when it comes to my mental health. For one thing, I received cognitive behavioral therapy in previous years, which worked very well for me, & I still believe in those principles. I just need to remind myself to follow them & put more effort into that. Except lately I kind of feel I need to see a therapist. I don't know. I just don't know. Anyway, I'm very interested in your feelings about your therapy. Take care dear friend. Hugs & love to you!

He said something interesting when I said I was so happy this morning when I heard Biden in one poll was ahead by 11 points. He immediately said to find happiness in things that are in your control. I hope I don't sound stupid but I never thought of the ramifications of what he said.. I did ask him a lot of questions about himself and he freely answered. that was great.
I went to one psychiatrist who put me on a medication that made me constantly tired and forced me to fall asleep by 8 and wake up at 4 or 5 and she thought that was wonderful.
she starts her practice at 5 a.m. I ran even though she took medicare. I went back to my former psychiatrist who went off of medicare and who is charging his former medicare clients 1/2 price. I forgot. I went to a nightmare psychiatrist who gave me antihistimes instead of klonopin and even asked for me to bring in my two cats and she knew I had trouble walking..the antihistimes did nothing..I NEVER TAKE MY CATS OUT EXCEPT TO THE VET AND PUDGE TO BE GROOMED. Are you on any medication?
I think this new therapist might make me see some things differently and could possibly be helpful. Maybe you could get lucky and try out a few even if its just for a sounding board. glad you quickly got rid of that psychiatrist.great instincts!
Love and kisses
bobby
touched by your mentioning your beloved kitty. would you get another?

Hi Bobby! I hope your weekend has had enjoyment in it for you. I'm glad to hear about the way you are able to handle things with therapy, etc. I am still learning from others before
making changes like finding a new therapist, taking a drug, or even getting a new pet. (I've considered a floppy eared rabbit.) Meanwhile, I'm basically taking it one day at a time & trying to focus on anything positive. Of course, not always easy to do. I hope you're able to enjoy your books without feeling so tired. At least you still have Josh Groban. Lots of love to you Bobby!

I had a friend who had a rabbit she loved for years! Do it. I am taking 5 minutes at a time. My IBS has been awful and I have been nauseated a lot with it. Right now my faith in God has been shaky. I seem to be very angry with all the stress. I am going to have to take cabs in sept for four doctors' appointments and I am terrified of the virus.
I am looking forward to the next therapy session. I don't have to please him or help him. Maybe he can help me. My bipolar is wicked.
love and kisses
bobby
if only you could find a great therapist!
