Derrick has been to work two days so far. And is learning and getting
used to the new normal. He really enjoys it there so I'm hoping they
are able to keep Purdue open.

they are cracking down on the students, and telling them that if they
decide to have parties with big groups on or off campus they will
get sanctioned for lack of better wording.

Because of the fact that Norte Dame has already had to close to online
for two weeks so far. And were just getting ready to open next week.

And I think Michigan did too.

Last week was an interesting week for Derrick.

He had called me on Monday really upset. But he had started the process
of fixing what was wrong on his own for once. So I was happy. He was at
work, and the person running the line was trying to put way to much work
on him. It was the burrito area, and he had already made 500 burritos and
given out for food. The person wanted him to make more.
Also though I guess they were to go to the fifth person in line and ask what
kind of rice they wanted, and remember the 4 in front also. Derrick doesn't
have that kind of memory. So this is about the hardest thing they could
ask of him. THey had him pretty much doing this by himself for 6 hours.

With some of the students it seems just standing around in another area
watching. But Derrick in the end after his job coach had left. Went back
to the main cook, the one overseeing him and told her he needed to leave
early at 3:00pm, and that he was considering quitting, because of what they
expected on the line. She told him to get ready and go home. But not to
quit they would work it out tomorrow. I guess after he left. She called
the girl that runs his program at the temporary group Olsten and told her
what was up and that at least one maybe more were talking about quitting.
I guess the next morning she was there waiting on the temps to talk to them
about what went on. And work on the problems. Derrick's problems were
taken care of and he was so happy.

Just life somewhat.

But much better than waiting on me to figure it all out.

Derrick and his provider that has been handling his medical care.
Met on virtual with his new endrocologist today. He believes
he has Klein Fletcher Syndrome. After looking it up it really is very
likely this is what he has. And they will do an ultrasound and more
blood work. Then after that he is going to send him to an Genetist.

So we will then know more information.

Sounds like a good doctor Donna. Good luck with everything. :)

I read up on it....I don't think there is a genetic component.
Is he a downs syndrome boy?
