that's good to know, Bizi!!

I haven't been out and worn a mask yet, but I've only walked up and down the street this whole time. However, soon enough I'll have my dentist appointment, and it's required to walk in with one on. So crazy!!

Glad to hear you're alright through the storm, Donna! Hope it's not too hot where you are! It's been in the 90s here lately and even with central air, I'm feeling it! So grateful for the AC though! *hugs

Hi everyone:

Last night about 9:20 I got a call from Derrick he was really upset. He is very
hard to understand when these calls come. But I got to the jest of it. He was
talking to someone he was hoping was going to be a person for a relationship
again. As many of you know he is gay, and has had a hard time finding a person to have a relationship with. This person as with a few of the others. Asked him
for money, he had tried once again. To tell him no, it kept going. And the
guy wanted $500.00 for a phone, Derrick says to me, why the heck that much
money for a phone.

I said, I don't think he just wanted a phone. But anyway, after a few I had
asked if he was okay. He wasn't calming down, and I was getting worried. He
said, no he wasn't sure. And he could just use some company. SO in my
car I got and off I went to his house. I'm spending the week with him.

I'm hoping I can figure some of this out. I am at the end of what to do. I can't
get him to realize the online relationships even though all he can do right now.
Aren't what he needs.

I'm hoping when he gets through orientation next week, and back to work it will help.

Donna

Bizi,

No he didn't and this is the third or so.that has asked for money. He has really told them all after the first not to ask and that be also has and guardian that has to approve anything he gives out.
It's not wholly true but close. This time though somehow lost night the guy found out his phone number, I finally had to.take the phone and text as me telling it was me that he didn't want contacted anymore period. And if he kept up we would figure out if it was harassment.

And blocked

Hi, hope all are doing well.

Derrick had a pretty bad week last week. So I spent the week with him.

He has been better this week. So I've been home. And its been cooler
till today. Its gotten hot again.

Derrick went to orientation today. And will go back to work on the 17th
of August. Things will look lots different we will see how it goes.

Just so much different. I've gotten lots of new clients and will be doing
virtual calls and meetings on zoom.

Thanks ladies

Sometimes I don't feel like the best mom. But that is honestly normal.

I know at times I worry I'm not doing enough for Dan, but honestly there
is only so much I can do for him. The last month or so he has finally
figured out that his teeth have to come out. But its been a long time
coming figuring out that he wont just get them out without paying for
it.

So thankfully my husband took him for xrays and a start on it. He is still
working to make up his mind if he is going to take out the 4 back ones
that have been giving him the worst trouble. Or the whole bottom ones
first. I'm trying to get him to take the 4 back ones, because if he leaves
two of them. The infection and pain might come back. Kortni is pretty
sure most of the pain is from there.

He has cracked and partially gone bottom teeth. So they will probably
need gone too. But then he will need a bottom denture for sure. So
he is worried about the money side.

Ugh, not having money for the teeth is a problem.

Just life.

you are the best mom!
what a problem. I had most of my teeth pulled and dreaded it for over five years.

tell him it was a piece of cake. they were ready to come out so they came out so easily.all that worry for nothing. I bet if he investigated he might find a cheap government place that offers the service. One place here for example wouldn't even charge for the pulling or xrays but just the dentures that weren't expensive.
I wish him the best of luck.
fondly
bobby
