Yeah well I almost never watch the news...

But I did actually watch more of the show today and all the apparently worst parts. It was not at all like it was described. It was not scary today and I did not pick once (I actually had my arms crossed and had played my head down on the pillow for most of it. I was relaxed. Crazy, huh? I'm not sure if it was because I prepared for it or because just other things trigger me. Maybe a bit of both.

Edit: And ironically, it was a book that put the scary thoughts in my head that this season triggered. Lol

Anyway, it was a good escape this week from the day in and day out of everyday life and always relaxing and pleasant seeing the kitties. But my "vacation" is now over. Folks come home tomorrow, so...back to the grind, so to speak. Although I'll likely be just hanging out for the most part tomorrow anyway...unless we cook. Meh! We will see I guess. Alright, I'm getting lectured again to get offline (as if I were on here all day!) Whatever! I do need to get my coffee before it gets too late, but really, I'm starting my "week of hell" with aunt Flo, so I'm sorry if I'm not as physically active as I usually am! (That wasn't to you forum folks)

Anyway, hope all have a wonderful rest of your weekend and if you need to do it, don't forget to set your clocks ahead tonight!

great for you for hardly watching the news. That is funny that a book started it!

I'm trying to fight these symptoms of depression with sunshine, coffee, and forcing myself awake. I dunno why lately I just feel so tired! I guess I'm a little bummed my "vacation" is over. :/
Suppose daylight savings didn't help either. I went to bed earlier, but since we pushed the clocks ahead an hour, it was pretty much pointless. Sigh!

I used to think I was that way, but I'm recalling how I've always kinda liked Ghost Whisperer and Criminal Minds (although some CM is cringy), but since marriage, I've also watched Scream Queens and The Walking Dead (up until a certain season. Then I stopped TWD)...I also used to watch some scary movies as a teenager because it was "the cool thing" to do and my friends would watch during sleepovers. I think I still appreciate a few of the scary movie series simply because they remind me of a certain time in my life (and I've gotten more tough since married too) and it helps to have watched the spoofs of scary movies...that makes watching scary movies more funny than scary sometimes.

Ironically, it's a lot of Sci-Fi movies that scare me more or at least the same amount as horror. Like the first Aliens movie, I still will not watch it. I tried again in college, but those same horrific feelings I had in childhood were still there, so never again! And 28 days was very triggering for me and parts of Kickass (which is unfortunate for the latter, because the little girl actress in this movie is brilliant!!!)

I realize you may not even know any of these shows/films, but I just shared anyway, I guess. :P

so why do you ask? just curious? yeah, I'm on an AD, as I said, but it hasn't given me bothersome elevated moods yet. (I started reading some of Bizi's posts about the definition of bipolar, specifically hypomania...well, in my case, if I do have that, it hasn't seem to have gone into mania. It tends to just drop to "normal" or depression) So, it's one of the reasons I question whether or not I have ever had bipolar tendencies or if it's unipolar depression with elevated normal moods...but I do remember having dysphoric moods and a really manic seeming episode from a certain med (Intuniv or Guanfacine for suspected ADHD) and likely "mixed episodes" even before that and for a little while after. I was on Latuda for awhile and then Abilify, but I was stuck in a depressed state and went off of it.

they definitely are to some extent. I mean, I'm mostly ok...i think I just get minor dips once in awhile. I have been offered a secondary med by my GP but I thought if I could change some environmental things, I might avoid it...I am tired right now, but I'm already better than yesterday, (I think) and it's not even a sunny day! But I dunno.
