Default Derrick's birthday is the 15th of June

Hello, Derrick turns 31 on Wednesday, and then we go to state games in Terre Haute. And we wont be around to post much this week. So if you don't hear from me that is why. Dale came into town on Tuesday to have his truck Ziebarted, for the second time. And some other things. But while he was waiting on it to get finished we went and really cleaned my car really good,
Inside and Out. I think it took about 2 hours. I'm so glad Derrick was there
to help. I was doing what I could. But its lots of work. We also went to IHOP for
breakfast.

He also informed me that his brothers long time girlfriend had been in the hospital for almost two weeks, she got out last night. But she has a really long road to recovery. Hopefully she will get lots better. She has larynx cancer. And its such a large tumor that its closed her throat and they had to put
in a thing to help her breath. And then a feeding tube. Then when they
wanted to do surgery to remove it. They found out that she has a too
weak heart. So they worked on that. And on the 23rd of June she will
have surgery to remove the tumor. But its such a mess. She has a pet scan
and MRI before that. And then will not ever be able to talk again. Its going
to be him taking care of her. And I believe we will have to make sure we find
a way to help.

That is not good news about the girlfriend of Derrick's brother.

She has a lot to deal with. I wish her well with what she will have to deal with.

Best wishes.

Hi Donna,
Wishing Derrick a very happy birthday this week.

I hope you have a great time while you're away. This is the Special Olympics Indiana Games? I just read an article about the lighting of the torch. Very interesting.

I'm also terribly sorry to read about the poor young woman and all that she has been going though and of what's ahead of her. She'll certainly need a lot of support. That's very sad. I guess she'll find out much more with her PET and MRI that's coming up. I'm hoping it hasn't spread so my thoughts go out to her for a good result. Such a difficult time for her.

take care.

Surgery went great. My right eye now sees I would guess 20/20 or close.
For distance, I wont honestly now until I get the left eye cataract taken
out the 11th of July how it all is for near vision. But it will probably be only
glasses for reading if that.

Which will be ;first in over 55 years.
