I am grieving the lose of a good friend of mine.
Doris struggled with congestive heart failure, CHF.
she was supposed to have a valve replacement and died struggling with
having dialysis 2 days and finally after they had tried every thing she got off oxygen and was seeming to improve, she needed to get stronger in order to have the replacement of her heart valve. She had been transfered to a rehab facility.
she made it 2 days then they had to trans port her to the hospital where she coded several times and they tried every thing but she died in the icu.
she had been battling for a month, in the hospital ICU for 3 weeks then 2 days at rehab. I am sad that she died. she was one of 2 really good friends here.
I am glad that we got to share a road trip with each other, her to see her mother and take care of her for 3 days. and then we went up to north carolina to see a blue grass festival. I will miss our tea parties.

Sadness, teary eyed, bouts of crying. hubby hugs me today especially tight.
I spoke to her husband today and we cried together. I will not be going to the funeral.

I will go if there is a calling period of time before the funeral.
I think it will be on wednesday.I still shake my head in disbelief.

I can't believe she is gone.

i am so glad that Jeff really gave you comfort and you were able to cry. she must have been a very special person.

it has been down graded to a tropical storm with heavy rains possible for us.
The storm will hit the east coast gulf of mexico..the hardest. '
Already, thousands of people are with out power. We are getting ready to go to pauls for a gathering.
The biggest threat now is a possible tornado which can spin off a hurricane. But the weather man
are not talking about that. So not to worry. 1-2 inches of rain expected tonight. our local grocery store
has closed at noon and have boarded up almost the entire store. The windows are only in the front of the store.


I spoke with gary doris's husband. and he said that it was a bad death.
She was a full code so they rushed her to the hospital from rehab and worked on her paddles
2 got a pulse then lost it the paddles again flat line she was gone.Gary said she had a smile

of peace on her face, she fought the congested heart failure. for a month, she needed that valve surgery but was
never strong enough to have the surgery.

that is so great that she died peacefully and not a lone.

I worry about he husband doris was a collector
of antiques. Her house was full of them they have no children who care. they have a son and an estranged daughter....
he never cooked for him self she took care of their big house.
they have a small dog. mochy.
he will have to make do.
maybe he will have an estate sale.I think that would be best.

Keep safe in that weather there. That was a pretty big hurricane flying by. Glad your area is faring reasonably well. You and Bobby have had your share of hurricane worry lately.

is there a way you can help her husband? It also may help you heal. Even if you just call him a lot. Maybe he can afford to get a dog walker to help the doggy. when my friend's husband died i called her every sunday and a few later she told me how much i helped her. i mostly listened.
