I'm relaxing and enjoying my thursday right now. I'm still
working today and tomorrow. But not to hard. Many
of the schools are doing finals right now so not many need
my help. heehee, which is so just fine with me.

I'll take the break.

Hello everyone,

I'm going to give Larry a little background on Derrick, and then I will update the thread first on him. Derrick is my 30 year old with Developmental Delays,
and epilepsy (seizures). He has a job at O'Charleys for 2 months now, January
will be his 3rd month. Anyway I went and took him to Noble Romans, because he had a 2 hour wait between shifts. So we had decided to go eat outside
the mall before his second shift started. He was running a little late. So I had
gone in to see if he was coming. He came out and explained, that he had
offered because he has a savserv to do the dishwasher while they didn't
have one. He is a host, and a runner. And someday hopes to be a cook.
He took a training and got his savserv for this. Anyway, I guess the manager
on duty says, I'm going to ask the main manager, if its okay if we need you to
use you as a dishwasher, so derrick told him. That she had said, when he was hired that if they really needed one she would use him.

But once again, he proves he is a jack of all trades. And it had been his idea, he had seen a need and stepped in.

Also today is my Devin's birthday I believe he is 37, I can't always keep the age straight. He will be taking William my 15 year old grandson to his mom in Kentucky next Wednesday for Christmas. Then he will return. This is my intellectually delayed granson.

Hi everyone.

I have really been enjoying my time here. Its a great time. THe weather
has been pretty nice. Which is great for December.

I am not sure if I told you guys but on Saturday was Devin's 37th
I think birthday. Yesterday we took Kortni and Harmony's gifts
out to them. And they are enjoying, at least Harmony is her
gifts, especially her vacuum that was from good will. I've been
so lucky that I've found good things like that the last few years there
for her. I also got her some nice clothes and a doll. I will then
give her the boots and some more clothes I got her the 29th of
December for her birthday. I never remember all that Derrick gets
her, but I know she got to Minnie Mouse buckets, because she and
her mom had them on their heads on Facebook last night.

I also got her some finger nail polish. Anyway, then today I took
out Meluvja, Devin, William, Anthony, Jason, Riley and Brian's gifts.

So they will have them on Christmas. I'm hoping William gets to
get his before he goes to his mom's in Kentucky on Wednesday.
And then the rest will get there's on Saturday.

Then it will be me, Dale, Derrick and Dan for dinner on Saturday.

Derrick's House he works till 8:30pm on Friday.

I will definitely miss you too.

Have a great holiday.

Bobby

Derrick is at his christmas work party today, before he goes to
work it really made it a great day for his party. Since he also works
tonight. Also his dad's birthday is tomorrow, so he is making him
dinner and I'm helping him. He is making steak.

I love the fact that he likes to cook.

I don't I posted this
Recent research suggests that consuming more than two portions of mushrooms weekly can cut the risk of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) by 52 percent, while eating one to two portions can reduce it by 43 percent. A portion was defined as 3/4 of a cup of cooked mushrooms. These findings come from a six-year study that included more than 600 seniors living in Singapore. Researchers tested each participant’s cognitive function and conducted interviews and exams to determine their medical history and dietary habits

Bobby

Derrick loves to cook, just about anything. He made his dad and I steak,
mashed potatoes and corn. It was good.

Today, we had a great christmas, Dan Derrick, Dale and I. Since Derrick worked
till 8:30 last night and we were cooking at his house most of the food. Except
the ham, which his dad cooked and brought. We ate at 2:00.

We had a great time, His dad loved all the Coca cola things Derrick got
him. He was a little surprised. It was all around the area at the good wills
this year. So he got a lot.

Today is Harmony's Birthday. She turned 5 today.

We went to a dinner with all the family at a restaurant about
half way from all of us in a little town, called Rossville. It
was a great get together with great food. Most of us
were there.

All 3 of my sisters, and their husbands.
My one sisters, 3 son's and one girlfriend.
My one sisters, Daughter and her granddaughter
and Her son, his wife and 2 of their kids.
And the other sisters, Son and her daughter.
Then all three of my son's were their. And Meluvja.

And I think that was all.

IT was a great supper.

We had a great time catching up.
