Smile Bizi's new november thread 2022

Time for a new thread!
Halloween was a lot of fun.
Went thru 14 pounds of candy and then some left over from last year.
So we had a lot of children and teens and adults.
After it was over we went to popeyes for chicken.
I ate 2 thighs and they were so good but gave me heart burn at night
when we were trying to sleep.
I woke up several times cause I thought I was going to get sick.
Damn heartburn, I should not have eaten the skin.
That is the best part, IMHO.
I forgot to mention that 2 stinging ants fell on me from
the trees while i was at a clients house. one of them

stung me on my upper inner arm.
I brushed it away and it got on my hand and stung my

4th finger on my right hand. I was sure to kill it as I did

not want to get stung again.
but then a little while later a 2nd one appeared.

I killed him before he had a chance to bit me.
These ants were clear bodies, Not quite the size of a carpenter ant,
But thinner. my arm still itches and is swollen. my theory is

that the ant used up most of his venom on the first bite

and just a little left from the second bite.It really hurt, the sting lasted

quite a while that is why I called them stinging ants.
I really don't know what kind of ants they were.
anyway....
work is going fine. I had a 101 year old client female today.
She was really eccentric, and rather nosy. She was doing the math in her
head about our incomes and not having any children. How we must be

well off. I told her we were saving for retirement.

Our scaredy cat hallie decided to come out from hiding to visit.
Her anxiety is really bad some times. She is afraid of us for the most part. We have never done anything to cause her to be afraid of us. With
any movement she hide. or if I am carrying my
laundry basket she runs and hides under the futon. She used to hide under the guest bed but then we would never get to see her.

there is all sorts of stuff under the bed and the bottom of the box is ripped and you can't really see anything under there. So, we closed off access to that bed room and keep her out of there. now she hides under the futon. She has found a new place to hide. under the top open drawer of the printer table. I can see her back there behind the printer paper but she won't come out.

Jeff found a letter under our welcome mat when he was hiding chords for halloween decorations. Last christmas one of my clients sons had stuck that under our mat. It was a gift card to carraba's italian restaurant.

Jeff was tired today from all of his activity

getting ready for the tricker treaters.
so we went out to eat there. We had a delicious meal.
mussels, bread to sop up the broth which was very good.I had 3 beers over the course of the meal. jeff ordered a glass of chardonnay.
I started with a spicy chicken noodle soup which was very tasty,

then had a wonderful salad and a side of fettuccine alfredo and was stuffed. Jeff ordered shrimp and scallops in a red vodka sauce.
He tookhalf of his home for dinner tomorrow.
He said he was full not

stuffed. I hope I can sleep tonight. We have veal meatballs that are needing to be cooked.
anyway.
This is all souls day in the catholic church. I think this is true.
I am not catholic. I think that people go visit their loved ones graves and clean them up.
Thank you for reading along with me.
((((HUGS)))))

so sorry about your poor traumatized kitty cat.
I think it bothers me more to hear about animals suffering than people suffering. what a horrid life. take her to the vet's. maybe something physical might be very wrong with her. please take her to the vet immediately.. you and jeff must feel so guilty.
Both my kitties are extremely affectionate. I give them so much attention. When I first got Pudgy she was terrified and kept on hiding everywhere. She even wound up hiding within the couch. I had to have a porter cut open the bottom and remove the legs so she couldn't go in there anymore. I persisted and would follow her and pet her and eventually no longer was she terrified. Now she usually sleep on the bed and is always available for petting, even in the middle of the night.
sorry about the ants.

Bobby,

Just wanting to say that Bizi, said, this kitty has always been a little backward
for lack of word. I am honestly not surprised she hides and isn't as friendly.
I'm going to try to explain. And give a reasoning behind.

The black cat named Christina that Derrick adopted from the shelter he
worked at now many years ago. I am even going to guess it was 10 years ago
he worked there. Honestly not positive. But she was at the shelter, born
as a kitten there, lived there with a cat named queen that was antisocial
also. They lived pretty much together, didn't like anyone. Derrick was the
only one that they tolerated to feed them, and even pet them for years.

When it was a free kitty time, he felt bad not being able to bring two cats
home. But we knew we couldn't handle them both. And he felt like Christina
was the worst of the two. And that with her gone from the shelter, that another person might come adopt queen, which ended up happening about two weeks later. But we have two story house. And for almost two years we would see very little of her, because that was the way she wanted. So then
she would show up when she wanted, then she would meow, and say hi.

When she wanted to, Then she would ask for treats, and I or Derrick would
give her some. Then about a year later we figured out she loves wet food.
So once every two weeks, she asked for a can of wet food, and had treats
every day.

So she then decided when Derrick went to lafayette, to live with my friend.
To go to school and work. That I was her person, so I would give her the
food, when Derrick was here because the can is hard for me to open.
She knew it was his job, so the minute he came in she was saying meow over
the rail. And then she would follow me around, wanting her treats till I gave
them But you couldn't catch her for a pet.

Now for about two years, she has joined me on the couch when she choses for pets, but it has to be her idea. And she will sit in a chair across the room.

When I went to help Derrick in Lafayette, she got lonesome, and went outside.
My husband got scared he wasn't finding her, he was feeding her. He called
me said, I think I've lost her. I told him, no she is hiding from you. Just leave
her some wet food outside. So he did, a day or two later, he found her on
back step. Then she started going in the house he was working on next
door and meowing and visiting with him, to get food, and company. So
she knew were he was when he was here. Well when I came back for
a while. After a day or two, she found the way back in and is back to her
old ways. But still I can't ask to pet her its got to be her idea.

She is the boss of this house. But she and Angel our boy cat, are watching
over Jake when I can't be here. One of the two of them are always in
the house.

just now she came back to be petted again. she likes the base of her tailed to be rubbed. She purrs and purrs. So this is a good day so far.

Red face

Hallie is doing better the other night she came up on our bed to be loved on with jeff. i was so surprised. So I just left her there.
right now she is on the window ledge grooming herself. in the computer room that I am in.
Can't remember if I told you about my moms procedure for her broken vertebra(She fell and broke her back)
This procedure had to be done in 3 stages. She had to respond to the first 2 before they(the insurance company) allowed her to have the really good one. They did an ablation to the nerve ending that was a pain nerve. It worked and she is with out pain now. It truly is a blessing. they said she maybe pain free for a year. about how long the nerve grows back.I think she can have that done again when the pain returns. send up some prayers for her please.
thanks bizi
