Thanks Donna... Happy New Year to you too and to everyone who may drop by. I hope it's a good one. I've already lowered my expectations for the coming year after the last few. NY here yesterday for me and it was pretty quiet although I did hear some fireworks at 9pm and was woken at midnight with some more. I hope you all had a great night.

Had a nice trip.had freezing cold temps then it warmed up a bit.
got in last night late because we had stopped to look at car that I like.
going back again to make sure my bag fits in the hatch back.
It is a honda civic sports hatch back. but I think they will add on thousands of dollars for adjustment. another dealer said that they don't do that. just msrp and ttl.
so we may be driving a weee bit further to gonsales to check out their car and see what their numbers add up to.


mom is healing from her shoulder surgery she last fell and broke her shoulder the ball. had they replaced it. which it had also gone out of the socket.
her finges were were not moving up untila few days ago she was having nerve pains and now she can start moving her fingers, TBTOGOD.
I saw 3 people this after noon and am beat and stuffed..
We went to the tap room and had a birthday celebration for kelli and I for our birthdays. had this delicious cake and pizza. am stuffed.
tired...must go to bed.

Pleased to hear your trip in the hire car went safely bizi. When that snow cyclone thing happened I thought about you out there driving in it all. Some of the other members of NT experienced some shocking weather too. I think it may have cleared for a short while then come back bad weather again.

I really just wanted to say how sad I am to read about your mother and what happened. It made me cry to think of her in that state in so much pain. It must have been quite a difficult trip this time knowing what was goin on. I am pleased to hear that she's able to move her fingers again now.

The car did just fine in the snow, the roads were like ice in some areas.
Did you have anything happen other than the fireworks lara.sorry they woke you up. fire works are illegal here.
but they still get lite.

You know it was really weird it was projected to be really cold on CHristmas and a day or two after. And I think on Christmas it was right at 5 above, not near as cold as it was supposed to be. Then it got really warm for here. Then even warmer. I think we always have this happen when you come up here. I really wish you could stay longer. I always know when you are headed home.

Because within a day or two it starts getting cold. It was cold last Wednesday
on. Now today I think its warmer again.

So I really wonder what were in for with this weather.

Its around 35 to 45 today. But it could get to 50 I would guess. No wind
today. Its been really nice the last few days. This is really not normal
for us. The kids in Benton County go back to school tomorrow so maybe
it will hit tomorrow. We will see.

Hi sorry I didn't get back 'til now. It's boiling hot here and I wore myself out in the yard doing too much as usual and ended up crashing to bed 2 days in a row. I have to start at 7am because it's too hot later. Trouble is it's 98% humidity at 7am so what to do?!

Anyway, to answer your question bizi, no, I don't do anything. I wasn't looking forward to new year at all because so many shocking things happened last year and over the holiday period that I figure it's just a downhill trend in the world. I used to be more of an optimist. Not anymore. lol.

When I was little we had Guy Fawkes or Bonfire night. 5th of November. I forget when that was banned. We still have fireworks for some occasions though but not the old style backyard bonfires that we did way back. It's all regulated now for safety issues. We still get the occasional random person letting off crackers when they shouldn't.
