Hi Mari! I hope you manage to sleep better tonight. I used to work long days too and it really did take a toll on my body and health! I always have a hard time getting to sleep which frustrates me. A nice warm bath in epsom salt may help. Relax and enjoy the day

Hi,
The good news it that I can often (not always) stay home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On those days I sleep and try not to make the apt messier than it already is.

We are only a few days into work and I am behind. Maybe I should not be using Tuesdays and Thursdays for sleeping.

Default My freak out thread about my parents' visit

My parents will be here soon and I am not caught up on work or home or other stuff.

Ok, if I try to think of some GOOD things I might be able.
Thank goodness they are visiting here instead of my visiting them. That's one good thing. Maybe I can start count blessings. I have many.
They are difficult, but they are spending the nights in a hotel. That's good.

. . . gonna work on some good vibes for myself.

I definitely think you should be using those days for sleep no matter what you think. I am so sleep deprived I am doing really silly things. My friend Robert came over with Mickey yesterday. Mickey dragged Robert into the building. I live up the street from him. I had told him my fax machine was broken and then ordered a multifunction machine fromAmazon. Robert looked at the machine and then put the paper where it was supposed to go and it worked. I didn't even feel foolish. I just told him I was going through a very hard period and not functioning. Now I have to have Georgy return the multifunction machine and pay a lot for postage. I DID GIVE ROBERT FIVE POUNDS OF FROZEN HAMBURG FOR MICKEY. at least I was functioning in that area. Use the time to sleep.....don't get sleep deprived....that is the worse thing a bipolar can do to themselves. I feel so strongly about this.

I'm trying to picture how much freezer space 5 lbs of frozen hamburger would take up. And it would be a lot to carry too.

I feel like you are giving me permission.
It's weird but sleep is tied up with so many emotions -- like remembering being accused of laziness by my mom if I took a nap or slept in when I was a teenager.

When I was in hs we lived in a very small town near a mental hospital. She used to say that she could have handled having a child with a physical disability but never with a mental disability. She thanked G_d that she did not have a mentallly ill child.
But then she was not far from being in that hospital herself. When we did something that threw her into anxiety, she would say that we were trying to send her to that hospital.

Do you know what else will annoy them? For a few weeks I have been on a vegan diet. So when we go to a restaurant, I will order whatever is plant based. I'll manage. They (mostly Dad) get annoyed by people who have special dietary needs even though they themselves are very concerned about their own food. And it's not like my diet is going to inconvenience them in anyway.


OK. I'm done talking about them. Done. Done. Done.
I sound whiny.

Thanks for your reminders. I have to sleep. They can do whatever they need to do while they are here.

I will stay focused on keeping myself together and keeping hubby happy. That I can do.
Any other stuff is beyond me right now.
