Hi Missy, nice to meet you.
One of the easiest ways I've found for getting a comfort level, is to read other threads to see if I can add any input to them. Once I've done that a few times, and get used to the routine, I would generally introduce myself on a new thread, telling a little about my dx, my family (generally, no names etc.), lifestyle, interests, etc. Whatever makes YOU comfortable is fine by us. You seem to know a lot about the meds. Can you tell me your experience with Depakote or anyone else's that you know about. I have just been put on it and I am so scared. Any information would help a lot.
Thanks, Flee/I am new and I don't know how to use anything on the site yet. Don't know if I even did this right. I have bipolar and I have been in a depression for 7 months on Seroquel and Trileptal and now on the Depakote and the Seroquel and Effexor xr. Really worried about side effects of Depakote and my doc won't put me on anything else. Is there something else that may work for me that has worked for others. Please any help would be appreciated. Thank you. |

Hi Flee
Welcome to the room. I am not sure when some of the others will be around. Can you straighten out whether your still on the trileptal, and added depakote for me. And I believe your on seroquel xr, effexor xr. Do I have this all right. I'm just trying to make sure I got the meds all correct. Now I do know that depakote is usually a good med for depression, it worked very well for both my older boys for depression. I'm kind of surprised that you are on both seroquel xr and effexor xr.
