Default Seems that I have more test again

Pulmonist nurse called today, hmmm, well I'll do what they think till they
are done. But I just find this so odd. But he is doing a Oxygen check
while I sleep, this might be causing the shortness in breath and tiredness
during the day.

Then of course I'm doing the tilt test its scheduled for September 27th.

I have heard of sleep study tests where you go to a lab and be monitored to see if you have sleep apnea...or other related sleep disturbance...some times people have to wear a cpap device to sleep and then they sleep really well.
I wonder if this is what you are going to do?
at least they decided to try something!
hang in there....it all sounds frustrating.
((((HUGS))))

Dear Donna,
It sounds like you are being kept busy.

Maybe you will find good news -- things that the docs understand and can fix.

Yep, I find it so odd, but I knew this particular doctor has this test available.

I know that its one that they do for oxygen levels. And it makes sense to a degree to me. I don't believe that I want to do the sleep apnea test, because I don't think it would show a problem with what they need to get
the area that I need help with. I've been trying to get my Husband to go to a doctor to get that particular test done. I personally feel he needs one.

But then when I started wearing the support hose and the only sleeping problems I had went away. I am not sure part of his problem isn't a lot
like mine was. So I am not sure he doesn't need something in his shoes
for his feet. His aren't swelling but they hurt all the time from walking
on them at his job.

I am personally kind of glad he found another test to do. I was dreading
going to the allergist and asthma doctor to tell him, that the pulmonist still
has no clues. And has pretty much dismissed me. I guess he didn't.

He just was so busy and I think he waits and reviews everything and then comes up with ideas. I should have remembered last time, all the test came
after I'd been home a day or two.

Your Doctor sounds very good, he is covering every angle.

Hopefully, this will put your mind at ease some.

Wishing you good news and results.

Okay the test on Thursday night came out fine.

I got a call this morning and I'm to lower my veraplem
from 240mg to 120mg.

And I am to not go to PT for a couple of visits.

But then in the next breath she said they were going to
call me too, at my therapy.

Well gosh so do I wait and see if they call or do I just
not go now. I am having problems with my legs.

And was hoping my order for my feet and legs to get there
special help had finally arrived.

Could use some ideas. I hate salt, but have been ordered to eat more salt.

So any ideas. I've been making myself buy a salted pretzel when I'm in town.

I love the pretzels but hate the salt on them. So usually don't get the
salt, but have decided this is a treat I can do.

But still hate the salt, but eat it. But I can't handle the french fries with
the salt they put on it. So I always hope I can add my own salt instead,
so I usually hope they don't salt.

But I don't usually seem to put enough salt. But I'm trying.

Anyother foods I can try.

donna...how much extra salt do you need per day?

i am not a salty food eater very often. so feel for you.

what about buying the empty gel caps and filling them with salt? you would get a measured amount and not have to taste it.
