My surgery on my rotator cuff is scheduled for Oct. 10th, the day before my birthday.....crap.
It's an outpatient procedure, but the pain and recovery is going to be tough. It takes approx. 6 months for it to completely heal. I healed much more quickly with my c-spine surgery. I will have PT afterwards and all that. Not looking forward to it at all, but I kind of knew it was coming. Had trouble sleeping last night, thinking about it. Thank God my mom is doing well. She even took a shower all by herself yesterday. As far as having PT come to the house, you have to be housebound for that, I have no idea when I will be able to drive. People are telling me that they keep you pretty drugged up afterwards for the pain. I have to switch 2 of her appt's appt's around, because they are on the 17th and I won't be able to take her. I see the Surgeon on the 8th for the final talk and things. The surgery is 12:30pm, I wish it was earlier, I am sure I will have to be there earlier anyway. No morning coffee, UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH My problem now is how to get there and home. Since I will be put under, I can't drive. My head is spinning......just venting. Anyone had this type of surgery?????????????????? Let me know please. Hugs, Nikko ![]() |
