It's sad. I wasn't even diagnosed correctly with BP II until my early 40's, it was always severe chronic depression. I think they tried every anti-depressent on me. I know my life would of went a different way, if I had been correctly diagnosed much earlier.

It wasn't until I moved, that FINALLY I got the right diagnosist, the right meds, and my life changed for the better. I was amazed, after first being scared and thinking I was labeled as a nut case. I am past that now, and thankful.
