I am worried for you and your family. Do they know any more yet?

I am so sorry your son is ill. I will keep you all in my thoughts.

Sorry it took so long for a update. But they didn't get started till 1pm.
And after I finally got home. Derrick was on the computer, then we
went to get some supper.

Danny has Inflamatory Bowel Disease. And the culture is out. But its believed the specific one is ulcerative colitis. ANd this is probably the
best of the things it could be from the sounds of it.

THey had told him it could be colon cancer so of course they had him
scared out of his wits. And I am just thinking his poor lady, had no
sleep last night either.

But anyway, they are doing a IV of steroids which as they put it The good
steroids, and then they will do pill steroids. And from what the doctor
said to me I believe both of these will be in the hospital. And I'm not sure
how long before they allow home. I even got a slight filling the new medicine
after steroids might be started before they let out. But that is just my opinion as mom.

I felt kind of bad for his lady, because they have been together for so many
years. And the doctor came in wanting to know who mom was. And
I could just feel her let down. But I realize she shouldn't because she has
had the option of marriage, and maybe this will be what it takes to finish
that now.

I'm hoping so. They have talked about it, but the time just has never happened.

Hmmm, maybe now it will.

Hi,

The dx sounds uncomfortable requiring close dr attention but I'm thinking that this is not as bad as you thought.

Anyway, you made me smile with your talk of marriage. Only a mother can be like that -- thinking about her son needing to get married when he is dealing with drs and dx's. You are a great mother and he should listen to you.

I'm glad to hear from the tone of your post that you think he is going to be all right now. That is very good news.

Mari

Will Dale and I have felt or known for years now that Jessica is Danny's
better half. And that its Danny's dearest wish to get married.

She promised that after he got a job with insurance that she would marry
him. Will he has that job and loves it. And I don't believe that after this
bout its in jeopardy. Because her mother works at the same place he
does. And when the nurse called him in to tell them he was being admitted
to the hospital so it wasn't known when he could return to work.

Everyone on his third shift job, which she works 1st shift was coming to her wanting to know what was up. They had known that for 3 weeks he wasn't
feeling well and that he had a pass to stay home if needed the two weeks
this being the last.

But this was quite a shock, and her mother had no answers because no one knew they were going to ER or that he would be admitted.
