Smile Weekend Check in - TGIF

Hi all - TGIF - What's happening, time to check in and let loose and vent or talk about what's up for the weekend.

I am going to try and relax and get some sun, it's supposed to be in the low 90's and sunny.

Going out later to find some easy shoes/sneakers to slip into, and some jogging suits to be easy to wear after surgery. How exciting, LOL

Keep smiling

Hugs, Nikko

Hi Nikko, I posted a thread about how things are going with me. Tomorrow is the usual go out with mom and Jackie trip and I am looking forward to spending time with my mom and my son. I just hope that he is in a good mood and doesn't act up. I hope you have a good weekend and get to relax.

Well, today I went and bought myself a bookshelf and a neighbor will be putting it together. We had lunch together at his treat. Yesterday I started school at the local community college and it was so much more better than Goodwill of course.

I'm doing okay.....still waiting to see if I am hired permanent or not. I know that it is probably a given to everyone involved but I am still on contract. I think people for get that. So am a little keyed up on everything. I am afraid to ask....don't want to be pushy. But they are grooming me a little more so that I am better at my job the last couple of weeks. So I guess that is a good sign.
I know I shouldn't be nervous but I am.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hi all

I've been off work a week,my doctor gave me a sick note for a month. I think i might go back in a week or so. Back on Anti-depressant and at present feel less stressed than of late.
I have been listening to music, lots of music makes me relaxed.
Nothing planned for the weekend, but they turn out to be the better ones.

Have a good weekend all,

Take care of You!

Take the whole month, Dave. Seriously. You have such an emotionally demanding job. It's time for you. You deserve to have some peace come your way (even if it is only a month sabatical).

There is no way I can catch up. It has been months.

And I will NEVER say we are ok again. I aways jinx myself when I do that.

Wes is suicidal again and halucinating and hearing voices. Poor boy. He is so close to needing proffessional intervention. Almost took him last night.

Crap!

And I forgot to call his friggin Pdoc. Too late now. It'll have to be Monday.

My memory is so full of holes.

Connor is sick. Had him in the doctor last night and Wes on the phone. Started out as a virus and ended up with an infection. And he is overweight and his blood pressure is too high. So what does he do? Goes and eats everything sweet and fatty in the house while he was home sick today because he was told not to. TEENAGERS. I KNOW why I am going grey. Can you imagine having 6 of them? My boss does. SIX!

I am ok. Just numb. And laughing. I know. Very innapropriate, but I really can't help it. Life is absurd sometimes. It's just an amazingly strange place to be in right now.

I'll let you know how Wes is doing. I believe he will be ok by upping his meds for a bit.

(I need to write a note on my forehead to call the doc. SHEESH-big time duh.)

So my weekend is going to consist of catering to sick teenagers. Thrilling.

I can't believe that I used to spend my weekends traveling around on the back of a Harley and doing the most amazingly non-adult, non-responsible things. Wasn't that just yesterday? sigh

Hi,
It really was just yesterday. Well, maybe last week.

Yes, please keep us up to date on Wes and Con.
I hope that your weekend turns out better than you anticipate.

Red face

Bear...I am sorry that wes unstable now.
Go ahead and call the pdoc tomorrow.
If he is that bad he would want you to call.
I do think that bipolarism is related to seizures activity and that sometimes medications don't prevent the activity like we think it should....
good luck this weekend.
David, I am so glad to hear that you are back on an antidepressant.
thanks for sharing!

I have no definate weekend plans except to go see my son. At some point.

I'm hoping that my two days without my usually nice automatic and power steering car will be over soon. I am driving my husbands little blue stick,
that he thinks he got the best deal on. Well he might have but with legs
that spasm all the time, and pains here and there. Its a miserable day
after spending time fighting with the thing

Two days of it after a flat tire. And because I wanted what I got. My
husband spending the time that would have gone to the tire. I still
don't have my car back. So its okay. I'll hopefully have it today or
tomorrow, have to have new tire.

Hello,

When I saw my pdoc a little over a week ago, he wrote out a script for me to get thyroid labs. I went in complaining about brain fog and slugginess. He said that I am gaining weight.

A few years ago my GP PA ran a thyroid panel and everything was within range.
I was fine.

Today, my accupunturist also said that I need thyroid tests. She then named a bunch of hormones she thinks I need checked. Yuck. I'm not in the mood to deal with anything else beyond BP -- especially if I have to take a med for it.
My thyroid has to be fine.

That's what I get for describing symptoms.
Next time, I"ll remember to tell the pdoc that I am fine.
