easy receipe:

Quick gnocchi (potatoe dumplins)

Brown 1 pound of italian sausage
(mine was very lean, did not even have to drain it)
add package of 8 oz sliced fresh mushrooms or 2 canned
add a package of frozen chopped onions, peppers, like for stews
(thawed in microwave)
once mushrooms cook down
simply add spagetti sauce, I used 4 cheese canned kind
simmer until heated
garlic powder and oregano
separately boil water to cook the gnocchi which are potatoe dumplins.
boil them for no more than 4 minutes.
very quick and yummy!

serves 4 people the dumplins are very thick and filling

I highly recommend take-out or delivery. Or asking guests to bring a dish... like, the entree! Guests love having that "helpful" feeling. :)

got pissed off at a librarian

Hi,

After I slept all day I had to run out to get to the library before it closed. It was my first time in the brand new building and I was disorientated and feeling overwhelmed because I had to
-pay a few old old fines
-get a new library card
-ask them to change my phone and adress records.
And I was still trying to wake up from my Klonopin slumber.

The guy was rude about my showing up to the library 30 minutes before closing when I had all day to be there: " People with late fees are often late to the library too." Jerk.

He creeped me out.
I have to go back tomorrow for the book I need. Maybe he won't be there.

I did deal with a second librarian and she was a sweetheart. Maybe I should write a letter to her boss saying that her professionalism and good humor made my day.

Wow, what a weekend. Talk about stress, I bought a RCA 26" HD TV last night...I normally fall asleep at 10pm, and last night at 10pm I had to be in Walmart to get the voucher for the TV which would go on sale at midnight. Now you had to USE the voucher before 2am...so no going home at tenish and going back to sleep. Then I had to drive back at almost midnight with four hundred bucks for the TV and deal with the crowd. :p

It's worth it though, this TV is awesome, however I prayed the entire time that I wouldn't get car jacked or robbed or anything. I am so glad it's done and over with. I really hate buying big ticket items, getting it home is what matters and getting it from the store to the car is the crucial part. I didn't get to bed until about 2am when we set clocks back. Got about seven hours of sleep too. ;)

Jackie was awesome yesterday. I took him shopping with my Friday because he was home, no school, and he really needed to get out. He was so antsy until we went. And then he was good and helpful. Things are going a little better now, he's not as aggressive, we're getting a new aide soon, one that will be able to take him up to the park here and let him run off some of that extra energy. :)

So things here are better then last weekend when everything was falling apart. :p I hate the roller coaster ride of my life, but if things stay good now then I won't complain. ;) Hope everyone is having a good weekend. :)

No sis. They were overwhelmed by family. LOL

So we are going to see them next weekend. Meaning road trip. Not sure I want to travel into the desert. We shall see how I feel by Friday.

Thank you for the recipe. I wonder where I could pick up the potato dumplings? Shall have to look.

Sorry you are having so much stress DiMarie.

I am so glad little one is having a better time of it Pamster. It is so hard when our children are not well. sigh. Big time stressor.

Jeesh, Mari. Yes. What a jerk. Why is it that people have to project their problems on to us? Creep.

My last day of freedom. I wonder, when I go back in tomorrow, will my desk look like a hurricaine? Or will they have finally figured out they really don't need to lean on me so heavily? Maybe have figured out how to do some things on their own?

We shall see.

I'm grumpy, just sore

I'm a grump today. I'm having so much trouble with my shoulder.
Its a pain today. And my back hurts. I ran out of cymbalta, and
I'm fighting with the insurance company, they can't seem to
figure out how to send a prescription. Its a never ending battle
with them. We will see if they finally figure out how to send this.

I ordered it in plenty of time, they just don't think its important.

Derrick had a good night, and has been resting today.
