Dear Friends: I just wanted to jump on here really quickly and let you all know that I went and picked up my husband this afternoon after lunch. As you can imagine, he is very happy to be home, and I am thrilled that he is finally home. It's been a low-key homecoming, as we two are the only ones here (along with Lilo and Stitch, of course!). Everyone should be home in less than an hour. Lilo has taken to him really well, and, as I write this, she is laying on his lap sleeping. He is still a bit quiet an low-key, probably from all the activity, but it also may be that he is still taking to many psych meds. We will have to see his pdoc soon, because he was only written scripts for two weeks. He has also already been set up with a partial day care program, which won't start until next Thursday, but we will have a home visit from a case manager on Monday.
We are finally whole and happy!! Keep us in your prayers!!

Thanks, friends. Things are going well. DH is more relaxed than he was yesterday, and stated that he feels better, too. That's the best we could hope for at this time, and I just hope it continues.

I'm so glad that he is home. I've been through two psych ward experiences. The first one was a disaster to me. The second one,about two years ago, went well.
It sounds like he's been through a bad experience. I'm glad that he's home. BF

Yes, we have had a fairly quiet time of it. He is still very, very tired all the time, which makes me wonder about his meds? I plan to call his pdoc tomorrow and get an appt ASAP. I'm hoping he will decrease some of his meds, mainly the Depakote and Risperdal. He is very up on the latest medications, so I'm hopeful he can get DH closer to his baseline.
I hope things remain positive. I am hopeful.
