Default What are you doing for holidays?

The reason I am asking is I was wondering is anyone doing anything non-traditional for it? Todd and I are taking off for the weekend and going to stay for 2 days at one of the local Indian casinos in CT. We are leaving the 23rd and not coming home until the 25th! I have that week off because the part of the company I work for is shutting down so I can take the time off and go without worrying about it.
I can't wait to go and spend money on the slots!

Sounds like a fantastic idea!!!!! Lots of people go away during the holidays. I remember my cousins used to go to Disney a lot. When I lived back North East I lived in RI, and worked in MA, so I was close to the casino's. Here we have a few casino's too.

I am doing the regular, cooking just for the three of us.

Christmas Eve we will have something special to eat and open gifts, make a few visits too.

Is it summer yet???????????????????????????? LOL

Red face

I know how you feel nikko!
WE have had 40's at night ....but the days have been 60's-70's today...supposed to be nice all week.

Hubby and i will drive to INDY to stay with his folks....hang out there until new years then head home.....my father in law is bed bound....I have had to distance myself from trying to change things, trying to help them....one year I was pushing my Mil so hard about getting help that she cried....I felt terrible....I was not helpful....

I haven't the foggiest what I'll do for Christmas. I'll just let the day come and see how I feel. Chances are I'll be with neighbors again. Depending on how I feel I may go to the nursing home to see the lady I met there last Christmas.

Default Chinese food

Last year Hubby and I went to midnight mass on Christmas Eve. But I got upset in the middle and walked out, dragging him with me. We will spare ourselves the bother this year.

On Christmas day, Hubby and I will likely eat Chinese food at a buffet with my Jewish friend and her brother like we did last year. They are still missing their mother, as am I.
