Hi,
I spent two nights throwing out my colleague's crap -- I want to feel better about being in the office. I was getting depressed and feeling weighed down. I spent a a total of 6 or 7 hours so far going through filing cabinets and moving books. He was a control freak about the office and a neat freak. He had a file for everything and saved stuff that he will never use. So I consolidated his junk into two filing cabinets, one desk, and one bookshelf. That is enough for if/when he comes back from sick leave/disability. By going through his stuff, I got another look into his mind -- and it is not pretty. Now the stuff is on the way to the garbage. I left at 11:15 tonight with piles and piles of paper and photocopies stacked in the hall for the cleaning crew. ![]() ![]() ![]() And I feel that a weight has been lifted off me. I got sweaty and worked muscles I normally don't work. I am going to take a hot shower Now. I am going to find ways to bring new life into the office. ![]() M. |
