Hi all,
Over the past week I have been hearing some things that have been leading me to believe that my name was still on a lot of things from my marriage to my deceased husband. If that is the case, I will be coming into a pile of money. Because of the way things are with my family, I plan on making up a will, just in case, and making sure not one red cent goes to anyone in my family. I also know this will eat up my in-laws to no end if I get any money out of my husband's death and they don't or just get the house. befuddled2 |

I find this a very heart warming thing if your ex husband left things so that you would stand to inherit them. I believe he did this because he still loved you. And wanted you to get these things. And he wanted to take care of you in some way after he was gone. I also believe that god sometimes, intervene's in some odd way. So I'm so happy to read this thread. Will be so happy to see updates from you if they are good. Donna |

Hey,
good luck with this! Have you been in touch with Rook's estate administrator or whatever they call the official lawyer ppl that are handling his will or administering the inheritance? Just wondering if there is a way you can get precise, solid information from a reliable source - not hearsay. I would think you are entitled to the official information upon request. ~ waves ~ |

Rook's neice is the executor of his estate and that could be because he appointed her or because his family appointed her. There is not a chance in the world she would talk to me as they all hate my guts.

Is it a good thing that she is the executor or bad? I wasn't sure. But you make a good point about wills and stuff. I have been trying to get Todd to make a living will with me. But as usual, he won't. We have a spoken thing about how we want things to do, but everything is best on paper.
