Aren't they supposed to give three written warnings before they can fire you on the spot? Some companies have that policy.

Be ok with yourself. It's not about you. It's them.

And who the heck does this a few days before Christmas?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry right now. But I've sure done a lot of crying since Thursday. I don't even know what to say again or where to begin for help. It is a small company but, I can't go into details, they can pack a mean punch. Over 1/3 of our client base is attorneys. So I feel like my back is against the wall. My check was supposed to be direct deposited today and it's not there and it won't go in until Monday since it's past the cut off. And my memory failed me again and I forgot to renew my scripts. I just tried to get them refilled at CVS and they said my card was no good. I know that couldn't have cut me off that quick without asking me if I wanted to pay it myself. We were due to get new cards this month so I'm hoping this is just a mistake. I only have enough Lithium and Risperdal for tonight and the Elavil which my pdoc is trying me on, will run out tomorrow. I'm trying to contact Keystone to find out what's happened but no luck yet. I'm not so concerned about these except the Lithium. But maybe a little mania would be a good thing now since Lithium has me so flat.

Thanks for having my back and making me crack a smile even though inside I'm so confused. Bizi I hope you have a safe trip and enjoy your visit with your family.

Merry Christmas to you too PMS. That's the one partner's initials who I deal with day to day and I find it quite appropriate right now.

Default You Cant Go Cold Turkey From Lithium

I am so sorry to hear all that is happening to you...now I guess you will have to sue them for discrimination. First things first though. It is imperative you call your PDoc and get samples of lithium and the rest of your meds or ask your pharmacy if you can have enough until Monday. I know my CVS will do that for me.

You can have seizures for going off Lithium. I have had this very experience a few months ago when I went off my meds and it scared the hell out me. I also had severe delusions when I went off. I dont want you to go through the same thing. So please call your Pdoc. It landed me in the hospital. Do you have anyone that will be there with you while you are going through all this?

I'll keep you in my prayers...Lithium also makes me kind of flat but its better than what I was before..thank god.

Help OMG BJ! Ginnybean is right!

BJ Hon,

split your lithium for tonight so you can have some for tomorrow and go to the pharmacy and TELL THEM YOU ARE BIPOLAR AND OUT OF LITHIUM... explain about the card, what ever.

but they should know the risks of your "suspending" it...

i'll tell you, if you have to pay out of pocket, i think generic lithium is pretty cheap. it's a very simple compound.

if you go off it suddenly you are unlikely to have a "little" mania you can go sky high in just a few days.

when i was on it, despite the fact i had ANOTHER mood stabilizer as well, when i missed a dose here, and a dose there - zappo... well i won't go into it but... i had to get back on schedule ASAP and good thing i had a friend there to tell me / enforce it.

Please, PLEASE, GET SOME LITHIUM, somehow.
try to get the pharmacy to front it to you.
failing that, see if you can buy it yourself, since your script is good.

in any event, call your pdoc.
let him know you are having these problems getting meds.

be safe, be well. i am thinking of you.

I didn't know I could get seizures coming off Lithium Ginny. I just thought maybe I'd get a little "high" which might not be a bad thing right now. I just emailed my pdoc. She was going away for the weekend but said she'd answer calls or emails from her cell phone. Maybe she can work something out with the pharmacy. Right now I'm going to see my priest, he's my rock and I need to talk to him. He's busy giving confessions to all the "Creasters" but said he'd sit down and talk to me. Thanks for the heads up about the Lithium.

Waves you were posting as I was previewing this. I never thought to split it until I can get some more. I feel embarrassed asking at CVS but I guess I have no choice. I don't have much money right now at all because I was thinking my check would be in there and I paid all my bills ahead of time.

Default Hi BJ,

I PM you so you know my feelings about these losers that fired you. They are the ones that have more mental issues then we do. You can almost bet on that one.

As far as lawyers. They might handle a 3rd of them but you have 2/3rds more to deal with so I would go looking for a good lawyer so you can own 3/4 of their business. Look for an out of town one if you can. I honestly donot believe that can just do you as they have.

I hope you can get your meds. I try to keep extra stock piled back but I do know with some you can't. My PCP always tells me to hide some back in case the insurance company starts being jerks which they do on my Prevacid sometimes. As far as Methadone, I got with a place in Denver a few years ago and we fought until we got Methadone off of the list that had to be OK'd by them to get it. There are so many meds that you just can't quit cold turkey.

I wish you lived near by me, I'd help you fight those people. I have learned to stand up for what I believe in. I do know the meds though can mellow you out to where you are just kind of numb to what is happening around you along with the depression.

I think we should boil them in acid. It works much faster at taking the skin off. LOL

I just hope and pray things start settling down for you soon. I do know what you are going through.

Ada
