I'm pretty sure that I don't have a new virus.
The above normal body temp goes back to below normal later in the day. The headache lingers -- usually I don't get headaches.

->The wacky temps make me think that the Chronic Fatigue is raising its head. (I thought that I had mostly smothered it or chased it away after all these years.)

-->>Or worse, the attempted change in sleep schedule (from daytime to nighttime) since Sunday night is causing my body to be whacky and I will have to wait this out a little while longer.

But I HAVE to teach class on Friday -- can't really call in sick for that.

M.

Question

Maybe it is ok to up my Klonopin for a few days. ???????????????
I see the pdoc on Thursday/tomorrow afternoon and will ask him.
I take 2.5 mgs (daily) but I don't feel them.

I can't take Ambien while I am taking the birth control pill.

'Don't know what else to ask him about.

Sounds like you might have some type of bug, the stomach flu is going around here.

I know the sleep pattern is awful. I take klonapin at night with Trazadone, it helps me fall asleep, yet I still tend to wake up, but I don't get up. This sounds crazy, but I wake up with a craving for chocolate and sometimes I get up and have something with chocolate. Weird.

The klonapin should help the anxiety when waking up.

Good Luck at the Dr's tomorrow. Hope you get some real rest soon and feel better.

what about lunesta although it didn't work for me...
I sometimes take double my dosage of klonopin and don't feel that different if at all. A lot of times now I cut back my dosage because I don't want my body to need more than the two m. of it. I am afraid to tell the doctor for fear he might cut back my prescription. When I need the regular two, I really need it.
It really sounds as if your body is putting up a good fight against a bug...
hope you can sleep more

Exclamation Viral infections... oscillating temp... work

Hi Mari,

I just wanted to let you know that when I have a viral infection my temperature oscillates from slightly above (low grade fever) to below normal. I'm not sure what you mean about a new virus... old viruses make one sick just fine! Well "not fine" really!

I hope you feel better soon, and are relatively ok for class on Friday. But if you are sick you are sick and can call in sick. It happens. To everyone and anyone. Do you not feel you are allowed to be sick?

Definitely changing sleep schedule/trying to is a stress on the immune system also. And the wacky weather. I don't know about Chronic Fatigue but given the circumstances, just plain vanilla fatigue seems like a given.

I hope you will take care of yourself first, and do what is necessary for Friday, including calling in sick if you are sick. Do i remember something about your T suggesting that it not be good for students as well, if you go in sick? Maybe i don't remember right, but i agree with what i (might mis-)recall here.

Yes, pamper yourself.

Hello,
I do not have a virus or a bacteria, thank goodness.
I almost feel like you all are wishing it upon me.

I have a sleep cycle that is messed up.

I tried to change
from sleeping in the day (like I have for the past million years)
to sleeping in the night. . ..

. . . not working.....yet. . .

I've got no idea what to do about work. And I'm scared.

I tried to make a huge change in my life by making this change and I am paying dearly for it.

I think I'll go sob in between more phone calls from work. I need a nap but I have phone work.

Yes,
My old tdoc said that students wouldn't get much out of the class if I am so messed up that I should be home instead.

He was right and so are you.

But what happens when I always feel like I need to stay home and try to sleep?
