Default OT: Turtle pic and update

Hey all,

I am so tired, Jackie got up at 3am again. Getting so tired of getting up so early, get to go back to bed around 5am to 8:45 am so I did get some good solid sleep, just two blocks of it.

So here is the beloved Mr. Turtle:

He's really a cool pet, self-contained and happy. I have found my spirits are really uplifted by his presence. I finally finished chapter one on the new book, and am back to writing so hopefully things will continue to be good.

I can see some of you are going through some rough times, I really feel for you all. I am having a lot of anxiety these days. Doing good though for the most part. I just had to check in and let you know things are going better, wish us luck with a new medication for Jackie, his pediatrician mentioned to me existing dx's of ADHD and OCD. And I got one from the newer specialist I am taking him to of ODD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder.

So we'll be trying a new medication soon, I pray it helps him because he CAN do well, he's just got to be able to focus. I have seen him focus on the computer now for two hours. He's able to do it when he wants to. So we've set up another system, still need a few things, like a networking cable and a table to set it up on. But it's working and ready for him. We're looking at getting a new monitor too. Jackie is doing better at home and having a harder time in school, we're not sure why.

But at least things are better at home. I am thinking of you all and hoping things go well with you and yours. Talk to you again soon.

Thanks for the hugs bizi! Jack is definitely helping out. We're a team and Jackie seems to be responding nicely, though we don't know what the deal is at school. Just realizing though he has a ADHD and OCD dx's on top of autism in the mind of his pediatrician has helped me to recognize he needs something else, something to help him focus more at school. So hopefully we'll see something added soon.

Glad you enjoyed the turtle pic, he's a cool critter, I really am enjoying having him in the house. He stretches out and reminds me of a dog, he gets this look in his eyes, it cracks me up!

Dear Pam,
You did well!
I could not have guessed that a turtle would be a nice pet. This is so cool.
The little guy is even starting to grow on me through your pic.

Thanks Mari! I really adore this little guy, last night he went hunting and I grabbed the video camera! If I can get the tape from the camcorder over to a dvd and maybe get it uploaded I will see about sharing it on youtube or something, not making any promises as I might not be able to figure out HOW to make a youtube video, so we'll see how it goes.

Here are three more pics I took of him and his tank yesterday:

Hope you liked these too!

Dear Pam,
These are fabulous pictures.
You outfitted him with quite home. The aquarium looks like a great place for a turtle to flourish.
Let us know when you get the video up on youtube.

Thanks Mari! I am glad you like the pics, I have transferred the video over to DVD but haven't got the disc finalized yet so it won't read in my computer DVD drive. But I hope to soon, I have about an hour and a half left on the disc so we'll see how it goes as to how soon I can fill it up.
