my job allows me freedom.
there are not any bosses per se...
I set my schedule...it is my thing...a hands on work, service
It is a niche business....unique. and simplisity, low tech.
It allows me to manage every aspect billing accounting receiving charts for admission service...I am responsible whether I succeed or fail....Each year my sales increase this was my best year yet.I provide an excellant service.
Get to know these clients on regular basis, most are very wise. Provide companionship for a while. friend ship is important..often times they make my day with their comments.

My home, establishing roots in a community, an investment, to decorate to our tastes. We live in a nice neighborhood. I feel safe here. It is quiet for the most part, orderly. nice neighbors....my yard requires a lot of work which gives me a sence of nature and getting in tune with things..and a sence of purpose to keep the yard up, that is an ongoing battle with the weeds.

My car. I drive a honda insight, hybrid car, bright red and flashy!
Which is uncharateristic of me as I am rather shy. It takes me easliy to where ever i need to go. I have feet painted on the windows with my business phone number as well. It is easily recognizeable.
It goes with my red hair! which I value, makes me feel younger.
It is better for the environment so Am making a statement it represent something that I value is to be more green if possible. less emissions and 45-50 MPG helps cut gas costs as well.
i value puntuality and dependabilty

I take pride in my work.

Somethings to be proud of...
I take pride in my cell phone...helps maintaining contacts with my family and friends.and work responsibilities.

Dear Bizi,

I think that you are very clear on your values.
Here's a stab at taking a part what you wrote:

Values:
-autonomy
-independence
-creativity
-resourcefulness
-compassion
-integrity
-pride in a job well done
-home life/family
-community/neighborliness
-practicality
-persistence
-well-being
-responsibility
-decisiveness
-accountability

I don't have your original list in front of me, but I think that you get an idea of how this can work. Have fun.

Thank you Mari,
I like the word autonomy.:o
I am trying to improve my business to be more efficient and pay off my bills more quickly.
We are just a year away from paying off our debt....other than our house of course.
I am thinking about getting a tread mill because one of my new found goals is to be able to run/walk a mini marathon again....that is 12 miles!
I did that with my sisters years ago.
So I started cleaning out a couple of boxes and other stuff that have been sitting on the floor for 6 years....today going thru them and I threw out a bunch of stuff....actually threw some things away!
This is big for me!
It felt so good to clear off that part of the room.
I think there is room there now to fit a tread mill.:)
So maybe I will go look at them tomorrow.

Maybe this goal stuff has to be done slowly...
like I want to take my vitamins everyday.
Dieting is not a quick fix either....
I liked the dafodil story alot.

small baby steps in the right direction....forward.

bizi

thank you again mari,
you're the best:hug:

I value:

Non Violence
Peace
Understanding and Thoughfulness
Self Respect and respect for others
Love of family and friends
Independence
Honesty
Hope and Faith
Good Health
Laughter
Caring
Empathy

Not exactly in that order, I know there are more, just can't seem to get them all in my mind at once.
