Sounds good Pam

So then you start looking into how much they would cost to replace it then.

They have what they call "nose pillow's" now. I don't like them because I feel like they are blowing my nose off of my face. But, They do not touch your face. They come down over your head and go into your nostril's. You have to see them to really get the right descrition. I love my full face mask. The only problem I have is the calouse I have on the bridge of my nose. Sometimes it even get's infected. BUT DO W?OUT IT...NO WAY!

I've seen those and they would make me feel claustrophobic I think. My old mask rubbed my nose raw and I have to lay off using the machine a few days, and boy am I TIRED!

I put triple antibotic ointment on it (it's right UNDER my nostrils on the thumberlin, talk about painful! UGH!) and it's already looking better but I figure a few more days of healing and I should be all set.

Dear Pam, Keep fighting the good fight. It sounds that using the CPAP is better than not using the CPAP, so I'm glad you pulled it out of the closet and plugged it back in -- so to speak.

When I have a place on my skin that is rubbed raw or needs to heal, I use zinc cream sold in the grocery store. They call it diaper rash cream but its main ingredient is zinc. Alternatively, try cortisone cream or benedryl.

Anyway, good luck.

I put triple antibiotic on it and it's almost gone but I think the diaper rash cream sounds like a good idea Mari! If it returns I will use that next time. I am glad I pulled it out of the closet too, I was feeling so run down it wasn't funny, and I feel like that now because of not using it for a few days already, but I know that deep sleep is coming back as soon as I feel the skin there under my nose can handle having rubber on it for 8 hours.

Thanks for caring! Thanks everyone!

Dar Pam,
Deep sleep sounds good.

Maybe you could call up the manufacturer and light a fire. <joke>
Some dude somewhere really should be able to make those masks more comfortable.

Well truth be told the old mask was two sizes too big so hopefully this newer one I got in size small will work out better and not do what the old one did. I have not used it more then the one night when the sore appeared the next morning and tonight I think I am going to set it up and use it. If I can make the space on the dresser for it, I have to get in there and put some laundry away and hopefully then the kid won't mess with it too much.

Anyway I will post again once I have used the new mask tonight. Hoepfully feeling much more rested by tomorrow, because I am yawning a lot by the afternoon and early evening, whereas the nights I slept with it on I don't yawn during the day and my eyes don't water or anything like they are now.

SO here's to getting some hard work done and getting the deep sleep I really need tonight.
