When I have a place on my skin that is rubbed raw or needs to heal, I use zinc cream sold in the grocery store. They call it diaper rash cream but its main ingredient is zinc. Alternatively, try cortisone cream or benedryl.

Anyway, good luck.

I put triple antibiotic on it and it's almost gone but I think the diaper rash cream sounds like a good idea Mari! If it returns I will use that next time. I am glad I pulled it out of the closet too, I was feeling so run down it wasn't funny, and I feel like that now because of not using it for a few days already, but I know that deep sleep is coming back as soon as I feel the skin there under my nose can handle having rubber on it for 8 hours.

Thanks for caring! Thanks everyone!
