Hi dear

I have just gotten through a lot of tooth problems. I had deep pockets between gums and teeth and they were cleaned out thoroughly by a dental hygienist. Then a few fillings were renewed.

This treatment caused the gums to suddenly retreat, so that the teeth seemed longer, caused pain when eating or drinking cold things. I have a dentist cousin who told me to use sensodyne toothpaste, but the kind that does NOT have fluoride in it, every day, and initially rub it on the teeth lavisly on the teeth before sleeping, leaving it on, to have the effect fast. It worked well. The cousin told me that the fluoride counteracts to an extent the active ingredient in sensodyne that desensitizes the teeth.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I really appreciate it, luckily it's not hurting yet and the filling is still in. I am really glad it's not bothering me yet, I know that could change in a moment's time but for now it's okay. Thanks everyone for caring and for letting me vent.
