How is everyone and what are you up to?

I called my tdoc for an appointment. We had been on a hiatus because of scheduling.
I think that I am going to go out to the health food store later for soap and supplements . . . and maybe some fruit.

I still crappy today -- like I've been through something and need to recover.

I wish you all the recovery you need.

I have been crappy for the last two months because every year from easter till at least the end of may I suffer from pollen. It is not just eye-and-nose trouble in my case, since I am a headcase (joke) so I am also depressed and irrational.

Usually, I clear up after that, but I noticed that unfortunately, people who I like and would love to share my better moments (summer) with are on holidays, erratically available and so on. From my end I am not good at sending birthday-and-christmas cards so it is a recepy for disaster. I love them consistently, in my mind and emotion this does not change, but for some reason this is not the same on their end. I try, but it ain't easy. I can laugh at myself though.

Hi Mari and Minymo,

Mari, my pdoc is retiring this month so I've got to find another doctor.

Minymo, I too suffer from pollen along with cat dander and such. I've had a sinus infection for over a month now. I hope you and I both will feel better soon.

She needs us to send her some positive thoughts her way, she misses us.
and is not doing well...She said that she would come back soon.

Pamster the reason I posted the response about abilify is because last year they were fined/settled out of court huge amounts of money for marketing to pediatrics ...and this year they now get approval for pediatrics....it is nuts!

Just wanted to buzz in and say hello to all.

Appointment I had a couple of weeks ago went ok... Doc said that I definitely have severe major depression with possible bipolar. I am supposed to set up an appointment with psychiatrist she directed me to...I haven't done it yet... I'm scared.

Doc put me on an additional anti-depressant and an anti-anxiety.


Well, that's where I am right now.

Abbie I really wish you'd reconsider and go see a pdoc. I know you're scared but like I told you it is treatable. Why do you think my username is MeBP? I was shocked when I was told. But now I wish I could change my name because I am BP and I've accepted it. The ups and downs are no fun but once you find the right mix things slow down. Right now I'm up and a little manic because I haven't slept and don't need any right now but I still say I'd rather be this way than depressed all the time

Glad that you are thinking about seeing a psychiatrist.
Not everyone needs to go on meds....perhaps if you could continue with talk therapy and good sleep hygiene and exercise...Since they increased your meds you need to see someone in a short amount of time...to help you monitor your reaction to your increased dose.
Not to scare you...
some people can't handle anti depressants...(like me) prozac made me manic a few years ago...i questioned the pdoc who put me on it...looking back on that time...I should have been smarter than that to ever have allowed this to happen.....others have heard my story...2 cars in 3 weeks....~sigh

I haven't really noticed a difference with the new medicines other than I want to sleep ALL of the time. I have had a few "normal" moments but I feel (no, I know) I'm still on the very low end on the depression scale.

It took a friend of mine to call the first doc because I couldn't talk... I will most likely have her call the psychiatrist to set an appointment there too...
