Good to hear that you saw someone new today.
I have taken klonipin before....
klonipin is alonger lasting tranquilizer than xanax which acts quickly but has a short half life.
There is less break thru anxiety with the klonipin and it is easier to taper off if you ever would want to do that.
I like nurse practitioners they are usually more thorough.
hOw did you like her?

Hi Bizi.

She was great. She was easy to get along with. I liked her. She was helpful. She also works in a major hospital in the area. It all went well. She said I might need a mood stabilizer, and some therapy. I haven't really had any therapy in a long time.

I didn't realize they changed the system of treatment for mental issues patients. No one told me,and I had no idea. I've been seeing Psychiatrists since the early 70's. They use to do all the therapy. Now they basically write proscriptions, and other people do the therapy.

It must be the psychologists. I had no idea. It makes sense though. Psychiatrists have always charged tremendous fee's,and then they start adding to the high fee as you go. That happened in the early 70's. Who can keep paying those high fee's. I could go on but,"Nuff Said". BF:cool:

Dear Friend,

This is great. I am happy that you liked the pdoc and that she has some ideas on how to help you.
When do you see her again?

M.

Thank's Mari. I see her in two weeks. She said she knows a therapist that I can see. I will be paying on a slide scale arrangement. BF:hug:

Thank you bizi. I hope so. I'll be concerned about the SSD until it's over with. I'm now in the process of withdrawing my 401K. That seems to stay in the back of my head. I wish that I could be more positive, but I'm being truthful. Thank you for your help. BF
