Default Changing my life one book at time

Hi,
Today I had to go in to work and deal with some things.

Then I got to work on the office again.
Today I was very much aware how much this office is holding me back. As soon as the office gets stable I can clean out the garbage in my own apt and in my life.

I spent about 5 hours off and on moving books and filing cabinets and such. I had to move every book out of the book cases before the painters would agree to paint the walls -- they don't move books.

Now my back hurts. I didn't expect that.

Tomorrow I will stay home and empty a box or two in this apt. I can't wait to get to it. I need my life back.

I am hoping that the back recovers during sleep.

Mari, I hope sleep will help your back. I was in pain all day Tuesday from over working on Monday. Advil helped a lot.

I am sure all the hard work will be worth it in the end Mari, hang in there and keep up the work at your own pace so you don't burn out and hit a plateau. I did that and only just now got back my momentum so I could get the bedroom cleaned up yet again, it's so frustrating when you know you have a big job that you can burn out and not feel the motivation to see it through to its completion. I wish you the best of luck with getting the office and apartment dealt with.

I hope some sleep helps your back like Befuddled2 said, being in pain stinks. I know it woke me up this morning around 2:15 am and I had to take something for it, which isn't unusual. Just annoying. Then Jackie must have heard me and been awake because he got up a couple of minutes later. Keep at it and you WILL reclaim your life, I know you will.

I hope your back is feeling better now. Do you ever use arnica? You are changing and I think it is so wonderful. I think we need to remember to take baby steps That was a lot of work you did.
External organization i think helps a lot. It is one less thing to pull us down and probably is a form of self nurturance. Nurturing is so important. If we didn't get nurtured as a young child, I think it might be painful to face those feelings when we are older even if intellectually we have always known it. I think the road to self nurturance can be very painful because it forces us to feel those feelings. who knows, maybe I am wrong

Good for you that you were able to do somethings at your office.
Glad that they are going to paint it for you...new start to things.
I am usually sore the worst part about 24 hours later but that is just me.
I have heard that epson salts help with sore muscles, I think they say 2 cups in a tub full of warm water helps.
plus the bath is soothing in more ways than one.

I said about 2 words to hubby when I got in late last night after 10:00pm and about 2 words to him this morning. Both times he barked at me.
I don't know how to deal with him.

My back is ok this morning but I will take it easy with lifting and such.

I found out I have to go back into work right now for paperwork and to track down some signatures.

Weird day. Tired from not enough sleep. Went to work.

Later, hubby started acting right again.
He got past some major work deadlines that were stressing him out. It seems he can't be nice when he wants to be in a stressed out mood instead.

I used Arnica for my back. I don't know why I was surprised that moving furniture and books could cause a problem the next day.

it is a shame you can't take a nap when he is in a stressed out mood. most of the time he sounds like a doll from what you write.
great about the arnica.
