Question Any good things to celebrate? Anything make you happy lately?

Hi,
Did anyone get some news or do something good for themselves?

Here's mine.
I survived the first day back to school even though almost everyone else was upset and complaining about admin. I was cool. Then I came home and took a nap even though we are in the midst of a tropical storm.

Even better, I put my office back together. As you know, I have been working on this since Dec 07. The floors are polished. So today I got help moving the book cases back up against the wall and putting the books on the book cases.

Nice Job Mari! Are the kids back yet or is it only staff still?

I won $150 off a scratch ticket yesterday. And then (as 3 of the 4 kids said) I hogged every single dollar and spent it on myself. I bought myself a back massager/heating pad unit that sits in your computer chair for work. Was $120 dollars, which is why I hadn't bought it yet, but hey - this was free and clear money!

Dear Bobi,
Free money!
I like that the kids saw you taking care of yourself.
The kids will be there tomorrow to sign up for classes.

Dear Meg,
Getting paid is good.
I've got not much helpful to say about boys. I always found them a strange breed.

I'm happy that the storm was small and missed us.

Funny you should ask Mari cause I am beaming with joy.

Chris, this guy I dated this summer, and I had a long talk about him and I this evening. I suppose one of the most important things in a man I like is for him to be able to admit his faults. Chris told me he deserved what I dished out to him in the past. I had broke up with him twice. We got back in contact when his father was on his death bed. He also said that whenever you start a new relationship it is going to be scary when I told him I was scard of getting hurt or hurting him. He's coming over tomorrow. My neighbor and friend Dwayne made a good observation about me and Chris. Dwayne said that even though Chris and I was broke up when Chris called me in need I dropped everything to be there for him. And I did too. Dwayne said if I didn't love Chris I would not have done that. I couldn't see it back then but I even had strong feelings for Chris when we got back together as friends. I canceled my scrabble day to be there for Chris, I paid good money for a friend to take me to the viewing and asked my ride to please lets stay longer. I spent hours learning a new trick in photo shop so I could make a sympathy card I thought Chris would like. I dropped in to see Chris the day after his dad passed. I told Chris this evening that one of the stages of grief is anger and if he were to get angry around me I would still be there for him. He's coming over tomorrow. I feel better about this thing I have with Chris now. It's going to be scary some more I'm sure but I feel like working through that fear is worth it.

Wow! barbara, you sound so healthy!
What a great exchange...I am so happy for you.
Bobi- good for you for spending the money on yourself!!!!!
Mari- I am sure it felt so good to get your office back together...I know how unsettling that is.

I have to say that I feel good about my business practice.
I installed a new fax machine so now I can fax orders to doctors etc.
It will be a lot of work to get new orders for all of my clients...if I do alittle bit each day I should have them all up to date in a month.

Dear Mari:
Sending good vibes (and maybe a couple valium) for the signups tomorrow!
I bet its easier to relax and take things in stride with all the work you did on your office though. Sometimes my family will sneak into my office and clean up for me when I'm overwhelmed and tired. It makes it so much easier for me to focus! (now, if I could just get them to clean their rooms...../sigh)

Thats great befuddled! It sounds like a healthy way to start with him.

Are you still doing foot care for the elderly Bizi? (FYI I considered changing majors to nursing for about a millasecond when I decided to go back. You have my upmost respect....I watched the info film online for the University's Nursing Program and about lost my lunch lol.) The fax machine will probably help tenfold once you get them all caught up. Congrats!
