So Bobby, what did she do that helped you find that she was going to be ok?
Were you worried going into the appt? (I would have been worried -- maybe that is just me.)

she was so relaxed and so cool...and had so much feeling and seemed so empathic and so with it. she was also into astrology and she is a scorpio with capricorn rising. she seemed so laid back and at the same time so razor sharp.
the questions she asked especially about my childhood were as if she were painting a picture of me in her head. I felt she was trying to capture me. She played down the bipolar and played up the role of my being caretaker of an alcoholic. I was really stunned when she said that people put in that role have problems with feelings of emptiness. I want to explore that more. I also feel I didnt have to entertain her. I almost felt that she felt she had to entertain me or constantly reassure me to make sure I was comfortable. For the first time in ages I felt I could have stayed there for ages and wasn't impatient to leave.
I am definitely hypomanic now. I still have been awful problems sleeping at night and I have been overeating and oversmoking. My mind has been racing and I also have been exhausted. I have been listening to repeats of CNN. I don't think I will watch the republican convention. I think it will get me too angry.
thanks for being there
Bobby
I wasn't worried about going into the appointment because I talked with three people who saw her and one guy is very complex and totally non passive and he said how she has come to his rescue so many times. The other guy is cynical and really nice and doesn't put up with anything and he really likes her too. I didn't know the young woman who also sees her. I knew I would like her. I also liked her manner when I would see her in the clinic.

I am sorry I didn't respond sooner. I am so hyper I have trouble right now doing anything except overeating and oversmoking
