Good evening all!!

I just noticed that no one had started a weekend thread.... so here it goes....

My weekend plans are pretty much the same as last weekend...

I'm going to be sitting here at home as my car is still in the body shop and I think my body should be in one as well... it seems to be falling apart tonight.


Ok... this if OFF TOPIC:
Right now I'm sitting here watching the Stand UP to Cancer program that is on all of the major networks.

I'm finding it hard to keep the tears out of my eyes as I keep thinking of my aunt who lost her battle with breast cancer several years ago.... I also keep thinking of a wonderful person whose life path crossed mine a while back...she's a survivor of breast cancer. This very person is battling with her daddy right now as he is battling throat cancer.

Cancer affects 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women. In the United States 1500 people lose their battle with cancer daily... What shocking numbers.... how sad.

Hi

Derrick and I are going to go to Dan Patch Days festivals.

I've already been told he wants to go for pancakes in the morning.
Hmmm, well we will see. But it can probably be worked out.

Then he is planning on trying out the climbing rock. Gosh I'm not
so sure I like that idea. But he is 17 and I have to learn to let
him do things when I see no signs of seizures.

So we will see. He has a new thing, his very own cell phone.
And it will go with him tomorrow, so that if he is in a store or
in town by himself. Running errands like the library or grocery.

And has trouble he can call me. Its hitting a specific button.

Worrywart mom, but its better than, no freedom kid.

Just waiting for the rain to pass us by from Hanna.
We are high on the mountain, just the rain runs off and have to watch the creeks.
Otherwise I am trying to get my daughters room done over. She will be 13 in Oct. I can;t believe it !!!!!!
My oldest will be 34 the end of this month....21 years between them, 10 days apart.

Hi,
I'm not sure why I am up and not in bed.
I had four hours of sleep and then a long day at work.

The new boss called me into her office about something she said I did wrong.
I was p!ssed but I figured that she needed to practice being boss on someone.

I managed to get out of her office without escalating the situation -- a big deal since I was sleep deprived and almost manicky.
