WEll after lunch heading to my next clients house and am traveling on a 2 lane road, heavy traffic and bam....bam, bam, bam.
I was in a 5 car accident.
I am fine.
Jsut a bit sore and very greatful that I did not get really hurt, but will need to wait and see if this soreness turns into something, they said wait 24-48 hours.
My right knee and wrist and neck are sore,
and my chest from the seat belt.
There were no real injuries although one was taken to the er for back pain, none of the 5 vehicles air bags went off so it really was a "slow" accident, thank goodness!
At first it looked like the guy was underinsured and I was going to have to go thru my insurance company....blah blah blah, but then state farm came thru....It took me all afternoon to get a rental car, the first one had a red warning light that the air bag was not working so I had to get a second one which is a big big van/bus.
They will get me somthing smaller tomorrow.
And yes alffe, I wish I had stayed in bed today!
I missed all of my clients this afternoon but will make them up easily this week.
My poor car...
I just had her washed and she was looking so pretty. I drive a 2002 red honda insight. There did not seem to be that much damage, front light assembly, hood, side quarter panel and front bumper and back bumper just needed to be repaired. $4,000.00 to repair it!
I am so glad that it was not totaled!
It will probably take at least a week to get it repaired....
so send me some good thoughts that I don't have any residual injuries in the next few days.
In the end everyone was really pleasant, individuals involved, police, sherrif, emts, car folks, repair shop, alot of folks that could have gotten mad etc...but did not we were very civilized. Hopefully my first and last car accident.

I'm glad they did not total your car and she will get fixed and a pretty new paint job at least!
We are with State Farm as well. They have always been good to us.

Oh my, I was in an accident in 99. Best thing to do is drive right away like getting back on a bike. I hope your pain doesn't get worse. It is good it all went down civil.

Don't be surprised when you get it back if they tell you they found more damage once they got started. Estimate on my car was around $4200. when I got it back... they found another $1000. in damage.

Thank God you weren't hurt bizi! I read this earlier and had to run off to get some things done but I had to come back and post how relieved I am you're all right. I hope this doesn't inconvience you too badly.

Bizi I was wondering why alffe mom wondered if you was sore then i saw this. I am glad you were not seriously injured! And your probly lucky the air bag didnt go off as they can injury you more then the accident itself.Usualy they dont go off if you are hit from behind anyhow. well I need to give a basket of healing hugs and pray no aches and pains appear or show up in a day a two ..or ever! still even the littlest crash knocks the heck outta ya so rest and hope you feel better !

I am driving around in a rented suv, nissan, lots of power, am not used to driving such a big car with that much power...kind of scarey and it likes to go fast!
So have to be extra careful, the car should be done in a couple of weeks...so I am glad that i finally like this car...
My neck is still sore, the front muscles...too but I don't have any bruises so was really really lucky. knees are fine today and so is my wrist.
