Default Need some ideas, I've been off all my meds for a week, not by choice!

Well not exactly all of them for a week, but a few tomorrow will be a week.

And then all since Monday. I first left my medicine's at my mom's house
last Friday and could replace all but one or two in my backup at home.

Knowing I would be back to get them on Tuesday morning, I rechecked
my thinking on the meds. And decided I was safe.

Then all broke lose on Sunday and I got really sick. And today is the first
day anything has stayed in my stomach. I'm not sure if I can swallow
pills yet, or if I dare try.

I don't want to start over with the throwing up all things. So I'm asking
for some advice.

Is it safe for me to just go back on all meds tomorrow as nothing happened.

Or how do I go about getting things under control.

Realizing I take 10 to 12 different medications.

Ouch. This must of been a horrid week for you!
I would call your doctor and ask before restarting 12 different meds.
I'm not a doctor; but if a reaction were to happen while restarting 12 different types of medication at the same time, I would imagine it would be extremely difficult to narrow down where the problem is. Maybe not.
I would still ask the prescribing doctor - or at least call the pharmacist and ask.

I hope you are feeling better.

yes, I take with food.

Thanks to you both.

I decided to start with the cymbalta, neurotin, topamax and my blood pressure medicines tonight. But the reason is because they are a combination
that should work okay. But I will ask the pharmacist or my doctors one.

Yes, its not good, I have more than one that prescribe the meds.

The other ones I have to work back in as soon as possible are not that
hard I don't think. They are my asthma meds. Mainly my inhalant.

SO hopefully all will be good soon. I can't start that one till I'm sure I
wont throw it up or not be able to hold my breath. So I'm just watching
my asthma, and its good right now.

Default update: New Nurse Practioner a keeper

Okay today I've got more strength. And had to run errands.
But could tell that its not the best, and I'd be smart to remember
I have a handicapped placate to go in the window now.

So I used it, and I used the carry out for the grocery.

I am still working on my medicines. I'm doing the way I think I
can. Because I'm still not me. Nothing but sprite zero really
is good.

But the nurse practioner didn't want to leave me hanging all weekend,
and called to check on my stomach.

I am impressed one meeting. Two new appointments.

One next thursday 10-16-08 I have a 4 procedure colonoscopy,
eus and a EGd. I believe the colonoscopy has the other part too.
But not sure.

Then I'm being sent to a surgeon, she believes that the abdominal
pain is either the hernia's I have or we have to look into the cyst.

I'm not happy with my primary from before, or the guy who sent me
to Indy, I got lots more information from the Cscan from her than
him. And the primary said, the cyst was small. She says its big.

Surgeon is scheduled for October 21st

Not a clue what they will be removing as of yet.

Its really irritating to me in a way. I had asked my old primary about
the cyst because I felt it was becoming a problem.

And I'm being told by all its the same as the beginning and now someone
new is saying its a big cyst.

But either that or one or both the hernia's. I'm not sure which is considered
my problem.

But its interesting.

Default Tomorrow, is my 4 procedures,

Okay I'm doing the clear liquids, and the laxatives tonight.

Hoping to get through the colonoscopy, and the other things tomorrow.

I'm not sure what all is going to be done.

Dear Donna,

Good luck tomorrow.
I'm sure that they will get lots of pictures -- and maybe some information for you.

Good luck tonight too with the clear liquids and all.
