Heart Rainbow Bridge/Poem for Animals that have passed away

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Heart

Thanks for the post Nikko. I have another friend that had to put to sleep her long time best buddy Logan.
I know you all helped my Katie when our StingRay passed. It is good friends as always that are ever present for our time of needed support.
Hugs

Thank you Nikko

I haven't the voice to read this to Derrick right now. But just as
soon as I do. I will, Because his Dog Yapper that was his closest
seizure alert dog passed about 3 years ago.

And this will bring a smile to his face, he has another dog now.
Named Wendy, but no dog will ever take Yappers place.

It also brings comfort to me, I had given away my friend because
of my health to a friend who gave her a good home. But she
then passed away, and I still miss her. Her name was Nina.

I had two dogs and had kept the smaller dog, because the pressure
of the bigger one sitting on my legs wasn't good.

But she found a new home, that she loved the lady of the house even
more. It was more than I could ask for. Especially since the lady
was somewhat confined to her home at the time.

Default how many pets do you have in rainbow bridge?

I have a whole zoo! hahaha my step mother and I have had so many animals in our lives! We love our animals so much! My hamster Buster died in semptember. He was a black teddy bear hamster and on fond memory I have is when he took a entire carrot stick and put it in his cheek like this

LOL He was a funny lil guy! And he was fat! But that is because he was a lazy hamster he sleep a lot and had lots of treats. He was spoiled!

I now have a new hamster named Expresso. He loves to run in his lil plastic ball and he also runs over the cats in that thing! HAHA! He is not afraid of anything! He is a different breed of hamster however. He is a Russian dwarf hamster and that type of breed tend to be more active. He is on a schedule where he will run on his wheel 2am every morning. And he RUNS FAST! and even though he runs a lot he is still a fat faced hammy! lol
