Hi,
I heard my first Christmas song of the season. A Target commercial was playing the stupid song "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time." This was not one of Paul McCartney's best hours. How many more weeks before we can move past the songs? Mari

Mari,
The Holidays are the last thing I want to think about. I have made no plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas and I should. Around here where I live sometimes just winging it is best. None of my family fools with me so it'll just be my neighbors and I. befuddled2 |

I'm surprised they even used a song with the word "Christmas."
Seems like we don't really hear that word on commercials much. They usually substitute with "Holidays" nowadays for fear that someone out there might be offended.

I think what offended me the most is when I took my 4 in to purchase halloween items, and there were PACKED isles with CHRISTMAS stuff right by the Halloween items with Christmas music playing!
The last thing I want to hear is the Walmart theme song for "LET US GOUGE YOUR POCKETBOOKS, SUCK THE HEART OUT OF YOUR SEASON, AND MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE THE WORLDS BIGGEST LOSER IF YOU DONT SPEND MONEY YOU DONT HAVE ON PEOPLE THAT DONT NEED WHAT YOUR BUYING ANYWAY" LALALALALA LALA LA LA.

It's too early for Christmas songs, decorations, and whatnot....
I tried to take out the Big decorated tree at the entrance to Wally world today... not on purpose...but believe it or not... I didn't see it and ran right into it while trying to navigate on one of their electric carts....   Abbie
