Default A good day at work. Need to share.

Hi,
For months I have been miserable about some of my bosses at work.
I come home feeling tired and misused / ill-used.

Today two of the sane bosses called a meeting with my team.
Everyone on the team was terrific. We stuck together as if we were reading from a script.
We changed the topic to something important to us and never let the bosses get back to their dumb issue.
We kept pointing out how our issue was related to everything they wanted.

My team did great.
We did all this while being classy and professional.

And we explained clearly in ways even they understood that nothing will get done until they make our change.

Sometimes progress is measured in smalls ways.
Tonight I feel tired but I also feel lifted up / buoyed by my team.

Cool

That is just wonderful! I am glad you and your team worked well and being professional is not always easy if bosses are mean or just misuse you. I am glad that it was a good day for you. I hope you have more good days. You deserve to be happy

Default Thanks

Hi,
After the meeting some of us talked.
We realized that no other group would have spoken to admin
1. so unified
2. pushing hard for something that will improve the whole organization -- not just ourselves.

We had no whining -- simply insisting on ONE constructive no-cost change.

If they chose to ignore, so be it.
We made our position clear.

Cool! It's nice to here that. Some Bosses think that they have to hammer at you. That might work on some in the crew, but for us who really try to help our bosses, this sucks the life out of us,and makes us feel bad,and down trodden.

I'm glad that things worked out well. BF

That's superb Mari. You must be a great team leader... it takes that to bring this sort of thing about, even with a great team.

I sure hope they implement the change you have asked for!
