Trig Lamictal? Chest Pains?

I am experiencing some sharp chest pains that pulse in and out on my the left side of my chest where my heart is. I am not going to panic at this rate because for every time my stupid body does this it is either an anxiety thing or gas because I am burping a lot right now. LOL But I have never had it so close to my heart area before so I am a little concerned. I hope I hope I am going to be ok. I have been burping a lot so I hope it is gas at this rate because I am no mood to go to the ER for something that could be just gas.

ok yeah this is definitely gas for sure in the chest hahahah I am such a worry wort

I think I will be fine
But one thing I have to ask, do people get joint pains from this medicine sometimes as a side effect? and back pains too?

I am just asking because I have had pain in my arms and legs and sometimes my back too but not all at the same time.

Thanks everyone Sharla

Oh now the pain is going to the right side of the chest! This is gas for sure ! phew!

Oh and memory loss LOL it is funny for me because I would be talking and all the sudden I would forget a simple vocabulary word. It is a riot because I would be sitting there for hours like WhAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT SILLY WORD! I have had to describe the word to my friend and he has helped me to remember lol!

Red face

yes the muscle aches could be from the lamictal or not, did you read the info about the medication or ask the pharmacist to look it up for you...you can probably find that info on line at their websight.

Default word recall

Hi,
Word recall is apparently common with starting Lamictal. It goes away or gets better after a while.
I have a hard time with word recall too -- but not from Lamictal. It seems that's lots of our meds can do this.

Various stomach / GI discomforts can also be part of Lamictal, but from your post, it sounds like perhaps everything got settled down. Maybe it is a good idea to write down when (how often) that happens if it comes back so that you can let your pdoc know about it.

Default call the pdoc and keep him/her informed

Hi, Yellowfever,

Here is what I found about Lamictal.

http://www.drugs.com/lamictal.html

My suggestion is that you call your pdoc and get him or her up to speed about what is going on.

Well I feel way better now. I do not have a rash and the chest pain went away. It was just gas nothing more. I do not want to stop the meds that is for sure. I have been there and done that with chest pains and I am used to it because it is anxiety and gas lol. I will the pdoc today just in case

I called and left a message with the RN who works with my pdoc I have talked with her and she is good

So no worries she will reply soon. I do not want to stop my meds. I love them so much! It makes me all better. I feel more rational and more mentally stable and I am not throwing different emotions all over the place where ever I go. This is the best I have ever experience from meds..

Thumbs up Hiya Sharla

I'm really glad you're feeling better, but I'm also glad you are checking in with your pdoc just for safety.

And that's great that your meds are working well for you!

got a call back and they said just monitor it. It is not happening when I take the meds right away. So I should be fine but if it continues then I should go to ER. I know it was just gas. lol

Thanks waves

Why are you sad?

Dear Sharla,
I'm glad that you called the pdoc.
I'm more glad that it was probably harmless gas.
