Hi All!
I feel like I have been living at the ER lately. Spent hours and hours, plus doc visits for the son and grandson. Got into a argument over the 4 hour wait for a level 10+ pain cluster headache of kiddos before he could see the doc, but there were people with bumps and bruises about 6-7 in and out in a 2 hour time period. I was told they had a fast track for minimal caare and we ahd to WAIT for an ACUTE care bed 4 dang hours!!! Throwing uop, stabbing pain, high blood pressure. IT had me frustrated and in tears to see him suffer. When they triaged I said he has pituatary tumor in the brain, that is next to the optic nerve... No one gave a dang, but the nurse when he finally got in. She said someone should write to the newspaper or TV about the stupidity of their system. They had no beds open to admit, and were waiting to empty them to take in new acute patients!!! Then all the doc visits to follow up for grandson and son, dil had thrown her back out too. I have so much to do to make a Christmas for Katie. She is still home schooled but in a cyber program instead of the 5 hours of home bound. Still high anxiety, but some really better days since the stress of school is off her. The holidays are still so rough for me.... Thinking of you all :grouphug: di |
oh di that jsut sounds awful.
Perhaps you could notify/file a complaint. I can't imagine that kind of pain for that long, what a helpless feeling. ((((HUGS)))) bizi |

Sending you some hugs. I can totally relate to the waiting in ER's I have done my share. I know I'm waiting on word as to what is going on with my oldest son right now. My husband has taken him to the ER about 2 hours ago. It will be 2 or 3 more hours. He has Ulceratis Colitis and I'm guessing its acting up. Derrick bowled a great 3 games yesterday and got a 5th place at state. Its been a long week for me. I'm looking forward to taking it slow this week. Donna |
Dear DiMarie,
Hugs for you during this holiday time.   Yuck, that sounds like lots of hospital visits. I send good vibes so that the family gets strong and healthy for you. That is stupid for them to fast track minimal care and not properly triage acute care -- sounds backwards. I'm sorry that you had to see him suffer and sorry that he was suffering. Mari |
Dear Donna,
I hope that the hospital was able to help your son and that you got some helpful news tonight. I hope that you have an easy week this week. Actually, that is my wish for every one -- an easy week. http://bestsmileys.com/playing/12.gif Mari |
My son had a IV and got pain killers and steroids.
Then he went to the doctor yesterday, and will have to go back on Friday if its not better. He just is not doing the best as the mom would like. But he is working today. Donna |
